I was sitting on the deck this morning having my coffee and notice in the edge of the grass two crickets fighting one another. They were like head butting one another and rolling all around in the form of wrestling. Finally one gave up hopped away.
It reminded me of the sin that has entered this world. Not only did sin effect man, but also animal and plant life fell from the sin of man in the Garden.
Before sin the Scripture says that "all" animals were given by God "the herb of the field to eat." Animals were mot made to eat one another, they were not formed to fight one another. It is the result of sin entering into this world.
Gen,. 1:29-31
"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
Both man and animals were vegetarians before sin entered this world. God did not intend for this life to be the way it is, that's now serious sin really is to God.
But thank God He made a way for man to come back to His original creation through Jesus Christ! A life that is innocent, free from sin as He originally created!
