I am so excited, I met with our pastor yesterday and he asked my wife and I to give our testimonies in church. This is an answer to prayer....I have ask for the Lord to use our experiences for His glory.

For the last year I have been battling a disease that has been trying to take my life. It is finally starting to go into remission.

I will put my thoughts down and then post it in the testimonies section.

Thanks for your post. God uses every available servant and its exciting to be His servant, I know.

Having done a little public speaking myself, may I offer a couple of pointers?

1) Keep it short. Don't go beyond ten minutes each or you'll lose your audience.

2) Watch the body language signals that will come from your audience if you've gone too long; signals such as:

Squirming in their seats, heading to the bathroom, talking to each other.

When these things happen you may not be finished speaking, but they are finished listening.

I pray that your testimonies will bring glory to God; that they will draw people closer to Him.

SLE,
Thanks for the pointers. I did my testimony once before and to be honest I had a couple of notes, but more so I let the Holy Spirit lead me. To tell you the truth I really do not remember what was said, but it was impactful.

I pray that the Lord will do the same as last time. Use it for His glorly, edify the church, and encourage other believers.

Hi
I liked your nick name. It reminds me of a preacher from US - Jerry Potter. I used to listen to him in summertimes in Sweden. He had a messages of bond-servants. Slaves who had a nail plugget through their ear and belonged to their master for the rest of their life. I belong to Jesus for ever.
