find the way back to god the father

hi all
I wonder if you can help. I know that jesus is my life cos of all the good things he has done for me. but I feel like there somethink missing and that is that I can't see to find god the father ......... it's bin so long since I have last hear god's voice. I keep reading my bible but still I don't here his voice all cos of these voices . and it's these voice that has stop me hearing the voice of god . I know that these voice are from the devil. I'm seeking god with all my heart and I have even prayed to him but still I don't here the voice of god. what do I do to get god back in my life and back in control of my life . if you can help with this that would be fab . thanks .

I understand how you feel. Most people who might say they've never been where you're at are probably not being completely honest with themselves.

Can I just bring to remembrance a few things that Jesus said?

He said that He and the Father are one; those who have seen Him have seen the Father; He says and does only what He sees and hears the Father saying and doing.

He is the only way to the Father.

There are followers of other religions who are aware of the Father, at least in a distant and abstract way. They do not know Him, though. If you dwell on what Jesus said, then His Word will come alive in you. After all, He said that if you continue in His Word, then you will know the truth, and it shall set you free.

John the Beloved put it best: those who know not the Son neither know the Father.

As for these 'other voices,' there is a simple fact that you must keep in mind: you have a mouth and the devil does not. Even if you must orally and audibly speak the truthful word of the Lord Jesus Christ in order for it to be at the forefront of your mind, then do it. It's not like the devil is going to audibly argue with you.

My friend, in my experience God sometimes seems far away (although in truth He is not) to cause us to hunger for Him, to cause us to seek Him.
May I suggest spending an hour a day in deep worship pouring your heart out before Him? It may seem dry at first but if you press in to His presence you will not be disappointed for our Father is actively seeking worshipers (lovers of God).
