A case that is before the court in Finland.
Let's keep those involved in prayer!

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20 NKJV

Just checked it out, praying for them. Thanks for letting us know. I am happy knowing that there are children of God who are declaring their truth through the word of God. This reminds me of a part in the pilgrims progress where Christian was lead through the gates of vanity but stood firm in the Lord and his promise and purposed in his heart to be faithful and true. As Christians this is a daily act we must take on, in this world where everything seems tempting and distracting in contrast to the word of God. Speak boldly to the truth of the word wherever we find ourselves, for this also is a form of evangelism.

“Part of the scary thing about what’s happening in Finland is that it could happen anywhere else,” Coleman said Jan. 23 on the British show GBNews. Many countries have similar hate speech laws, including states and cities in the United States."

Just a matter of time until this is all to common , just as our Lord and Savior Jesus, told us it would be.

Praying for these folks for sure, thanks for sharing brother Nick

Dear Brother @PloughBoy
Thank-you for sharing the link.
I guess the trial resumed yesterday.
Let's in prayer hope for an outcome that glorifies God and increases the Kingdom of God!

Here's the Finnish member of Parliament who is awaiting the results of the trial that was concluded this week.
The results of the trial may take at least a month before coming in.
Let's keep her in prayer, and that God's will be done! \o/

And in America, thanks to wokeism and BLM, they equate that Jews and Asians are all caught up in white privilege. If you follow their twisted logic, that means that Jesus was White privilege, and Christianity is Racist...

Is there an update on this?
How can the West fight to defend democracy from "authoritarian" states and yet deny free speech and thought themselves.
PS: this is also a direct violation of the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights - freedom of religion and freedom of thought.

Dear Waggles,
Probably won't hear anything until mid-March. However, with what is going on in Europe with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, who can say if it's not delayed. I'll try to keep my ear to the ground, and I'll pass it on if I hear anything. Thanks for asking.

I now pray as much as I can for YAH to prepare me for times like this when I will have to choose between death and denial of Jesus. I pray for strength for all who believe in His Son that we will of one accord bear our testimony with courage and fearlessness. If death should come so be it, if captivity should come, so be it. Given what Jesus has done for us, this is a small price to pay indeed.

Regarding "fearlessness." Here's a poem I wrote approximately 11.16.2017 Called, "Boomerang Effect"

Boomerang Effect

No time like the present
To be fully aware
Of the Power of Christ,
Be minus all fear.

The time is upon us
To gain strength in number.
But some are asleep,
Yes, some they do slumber.

Great is our calling,
We dare not be idle.
The saddle is in place,
And Jesus is bridle.

To deny there is evil
Is a thorn unto thyself.
A boomerang effect
That will surely be felt.

An agenda, a plan,
Is slowly coming to pass.
To Gods Word alone,
Yes, His Spirit hold fast.

Don't be remiss,
No, let us not be naive.
Some of us will try
To ignorance cleave.

Prophecy is unfolding
As some just sit idly by.
Act now sleeper, awaken!
Fully cling to Jesus’ side.

Discernment of spiritual things
Now do yourself gain.
In the name of Christ alone
Is the victory we claim.

Finland: Court dismisses hate speech charges against Christian lawmaker and Lutheran bishop

Monday, April 4, 2022
by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent

A court in Finland has acquitted a Christian lawmaker and a Lutheran bishop who was indicted on charges of hate speech for sharing their belief that Biblical marriage is between one man and one woman,
CBN [Christian Broadcasting Network] reports.

Three years after proceedings against them began, former interior minister Päivi Räsänen, and Bishop Juhana Pohjola of the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission, were found not guilty on March 30.

The charges against Räsänen related to a pamphlet she wrote 20 years ago about Christian marriage, as well as to statements made in a broadcast interview, and to a 2019 tweet in which she asked why the
State Lutheran Church officially supported Finland’s Gay Pride week, CBN said. Pohjola was charged with publishing Räsänen’s pamphlet.

“This process has been long, it has lasted for three years, and it has not only consumed time and resources on my part, but also of the police and the court,” Räsänen said in a statement after the ruling.
“On the other hand, I have felt joy about being able to speak about the Gospel and the atonement of Jesus during these couple of years,” she added.

Räsänen added that she stands by her writings and her beliefs on Christian marriage, and attested that she had received letters from gay people telling her they had put their faith in Christ after hearing her story, CBN reports.
Räsänen also stated that she stands for freedom of speech. “I am ready to defend freedom of speech and religion in all necessary courts, also in the European Court of Human Rights.
I want to encourage others to use these basic rights also,” she said.

Despite the acquittals, however, the prosecution has indicated their intention to appeal, CBN reports. “I had hoped that the prosecutor would have settled for this ruling, but today afternoon I heard that the prosecutors
will very likely appeal to the Court of Appeal,” Räsänen said.

Dear Brother @Waggles
Thanks for staying on top of the News!
Like Brother @PloughBoy has mentioned, you appear to be our TJ News Desk Correspondent! :)

Looks like it will be appealed. I guess they have 7 days from the verdict in order to appeal it.
Regardless, let's keep them in prayer!

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Here's a video in that link from the OP.

Sending up a prayer for her and all brothers & sisters undergoing persecution & oppressions. May the Lord continue to give me that same peace & Christ's love for others that they have.

Dear Brother @GodB4Us

Thanks for sharing the video.

In case someone is interested in the verse that was shown in Finnish on the video, here it is.

who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:25 NKJV

Thankfully the Trial Judges sided with her. However it's not over. Finnish public prosecutors have announced that they will appeal the acquittal handed to Christian Finnish Parliamentarian Päivi Räsänen.
This back on 11 April, but I haven't been able to find out if or when the appeal will happen.

So, continued prayer is in order, for God's will to be done!

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
