When Jesus came to earth, he came teaching about the kingdom, and about how a person should love each other. Jesus taught his disciples, and when they came and asked him for signs that would show his coming, and the end of the world was near, he gave them what they had asked for. You can read this in Matthew 24.
Later on, the apostle Paul was commissioned to go to the Gentiles, and
later, he received revelations from the Lord. He taught about prophecy,
and everything that he taught about prophecy, he either heard it from the ones who had walked with Jesus, or he received it by revelation, from Jesus.
My question to you who teach, talk about, or have anything at all to do with bible prophecy, is why people don't try to line up what Paul teaches, with what Jesus teaches, instead of visa, versa? Jesus is the main man, the corner stone, and even Paul himself says that, God, who at sundry times spoke to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, Hebrews 1:1.
The disciples asked, what were the signs of his coming, and the end of the world ? Jesus told them.
1. There would be wars, and rumors of war.
2. Nations shall rise against nations.
3. [ You ] will be delivered up to be afflicted.
4. You shall be hated of all nations for the name of Jesus.
[ Remember, Jews are not hated because of Jesus ]
5. Many offended, and betray one onother.
6. Many false prophets.
7. Iniquity shall abound, love shall wax cold.
8. Gospel of kingdom preached to all the world.
9. Abomination of desolation, and tribulation.
10. Cosmic signs of his coming.
11. His coming
12. Parable of fig tree. When leaves are seen, summer is nigh:
when you see these signs, verses 5-28, you will know that his
coming is nigh, even at the doors.
13. This generation shall not pass.
14. But of that day and hour [ of His coming ] only the Father knows.
Notice, day and hour, not week, or month, referring back to verse 33.
15. Coming compared to days of Noah.
16. Two in field, one taken, one left.
17. If goodman of the house would have had signs to watch for [ as we do ], the thief would not have surprised him.
Somebody please explain to me how you can get any other under-
standing from these scriptures?
