For those who claim to hear God audibly

Many of God's closest people hear God through the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit always, without fail, moves in truth; Galatians 5:22 as the virtues of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

The Holy Spirit also gives Glory to the One who sent Him, without fail.

It is not good to target those who do audibly hear the Holy Spirit of God with an event that has nothing to do with them in order to arouse doubt and worry and fear in them.
 
Open the word of God.

Turn to Paul's Epistles.

God will speak to you on every page.
 
Some are condemned in their own unbelief.
John 3:17-21
I testify of Christ and what I have seen, heard, and felt (Revelations); and "so called believers" do me like they did Christ and brother Paul, and brother Stephen (NT). Never considering the Pharasee in themselves.(Matt, Mark, Luke and John)
We look through a glass darkly, and then face to face.
Many are called, but few are chosen.
Those chosen suffer greatly at the hands and mouths of sinners. (It's written throughout the book).
So throw your rotten fruit, because great will be my reward in heaven.
It is no surprise to me, for the Holy Ghost and the Spirit of truth has ministered to me, the Way, the Truth, and the Life of Christ, in which I walk.
HE does not lead His children blindfolded, HE never has and HE never will.
Bless God first, by blessing others.
 
Those of the word are the gatekeepers, those of the Holy Spirit are the watchers on the wall. Some are both, but most are the first group. Both groups have important jobs in the kingdom of heaven, disparaging the other group is nothing short of foolishness.

Regarding the OP, there is and has been and will be need for caution when persons claim hearing from God.
We see cults and denominations as well as individuals with claims that they base their decisions on.

If Satan is the god of this world, would the deception not also include that it's source was from God?

Being reminded of need for discernment and having awareness raised of potential error and claims is fitting.

As recipients of God's grace through His Son, by faith, we also must remember to be open for admonition and correction as well as to offer it, that the name of the LORD be glorified, not rubbed in the dirt of sinful shame. Our reciprocating His love is vital.

Let us also allow mercy and compassion to be unrestricted in and though us as instruments of His peace upon earth, vessels fit for Him Who gave Himself to deliver us from darkness into His glorious Light.

Most audible voices are demons or mental illness, and the human can't distinguish the origin of the sound, so they often just obey it. its sad, but they sinned in order for God to allow the demon to take away their ability to distinguish physical vs spiritual.

i think that by default humans don't know what spoke to them from the spiritual realm, so if you have discernment and can easily recognize the difference between a demons' whisper vs an angels, vs the Holy spirit vs Jesus... that's a gift and not everyone has it.

as Jesus says, my sheep know my voice, but you have to learn it and follow it for that to be true for you. it takes work.

God did speak audibly to people back then but not en masse nor so common as every day.
We're so tainted now that a mere second of His presence would destroy us like that one scene in Terminator 2(I think) when a nuclear bomb obliterates the city and people.
God does speak to us just not what is normal.

You are right that His presence is like a bomb actually, I have often described it as exploding in Love.

It is the lightnings that are predicted in the bible to come with the Son of man

Then we are replaced by His light

Then we are the children of Light

The lightnings does not come from the heaven above the earth

The bible is not about that heaven

The lightnings come from God

There are a lot of schizophrenics around today though. Seems more than normal,or maybe with internet we see it more.
But as close to the end as we possibly are,I would say Satan is having a field day possessing the gullible

We see it more.

I think it was worse even 60 years ago, but the weak died off quicker, or were put in half way houses more frequently where today we medicate them.

Tens of thousands were lobotomized

Aside from Revelation, there is no new information.
If anyone says "God told me...."you know they are false, fake, evil.

And for those that think they had a vision,should not eat right before bedtime .
 
This site seems full of atheists, who dont believe in God.

If you know God exists, you do not try to forbid Him to speak.

God does what God wants, whatever He wants.

By the way the whole bible is built on the testimony of prophets,
so if you do not believe in prophets, you do not believe in the bible either.

Jesus when walking on earth was also a prophet among other things
He could hear God, and took instructions from God.
And He testified to others about it.
 
You ever notice rotten fruit hanging on a tree just withers away into itself, then the seed falls to the earth and it's a dead seed; nothing sprouts out, it never produces any life, it has no growth, it's just dead, eventually becoming powder returning to the dirt, from where it came.
 
Well the message is a message of joy, it does not have to be like that.

But Jesus must be obeyed.

When He says the first commandment is the greatest, then it is

When He says the eye is the lamp of the body, and without it only darkness

When He says you need oil for your lamps or you will not enter!

Then that is the way that it is.

I can testify that He is telling the truth.

It must be said that disobedience is unacceptable, twisting His teachings is unacceptable
Cause changing the truth is a lie, and lies are of satan and leads to hell.

The truth is beautiful beyond compare,

God is life,
God is Love
God is light

God gave us heaven, and an eye to see it with,
God gave us Love, and an heart to feel it with

God so loves us that He sent His son so that we would have a way
A way to heaven

It would be a great betrayal indeed having been shown the way by God
and then lie about it to fool humanity, and serve satan.

So I have agreed to testify

The message is a message of joy
But people have a choice

They may bot choose joy
The way is offered to them
But they may choose to walk the other way

The other way leads to death
Because God is life.
 
You know there are wolves in sheep's clothing among us.
It is no secret, the Lord has told us these things.
For every physical attribute, there is a spiritual underlay; seeing the spirit is manifest in the flesh.
Ye shall know them by their fruits.
