I typically do not use the King James, but I specifically used it for the verses below.
Acts 15:20; But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Acts 15:29; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Acts 21:25; As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
I have heard some people say that fornication was only a sin for the Jews, but the verse above says this applies to the Gentiles as well.
Rom 1:29; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Notice both of these passage say fornicators will not inherit the kingdom of God. It doesn't matter if you believe in Jesus or not, if you're fornicating... you don't inherit the kingdom of God.
The good news is.. if you repent and quit doing it. You can be forgiven. But you have to stop. Yes, you HAVE to. It's not optional.
Heb 13:4; Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
What exactly is fornication? I have been accused of using my own definition that I made up, or "cherry picking" the definition from a specific source.
So instead of doing either of those things, I simply typed "definition of fornication" into google. Then I use the first 10 definitions that showed up.

It doesn't always happen that all the definitions of a word are the same, but in this case, I could not find any definition that was different.
The bottom line here is.. if you're having sex with someone you're not married to... you're fornicating.
If one or both of you is married to someone else... then it's adultery. That's a slightly different sin, I will cover later.
