found money, what does one do?

if you happen to find money (a little or a lot) and are unable to find the source despite looking hard, is it alright for you to keep it?

That's a hard question... I'm sure I'd want to keep it at first but after I think about it for a while, I'd wanna give it away to someone who needs it more than me. I know this will make me very happy.

^^^^^^^^^^That's good advice---If it's a large amount it should go to the police station with a receipt to you to acknowledge your bringing it in---Small amount, like said above, toss in the offering plate---Personally I feel yucky having something that I know belongs to someone else---I have a friend who is just the opposite and practices, "finders keepers losers wheepers"---I disagree with that.

I do not touch what does not belong to me. I just walk on by, hey that sounds like a song.

I have found wallets, mobiles, etc, just ring them up. If the owner is not obvious don't touch is my motto.
