I just answered someone's question about the whole free will question over on Reddit.
They said they had been struggling with issues about the question " for over 20 years"
I think ( hope) my answer is succinct , to the point and very logical.
God wants us to understand .

In order to make a NON Conforming creature that would love and serve Him by choice, He HAD to give that creature/ creation " free will".
That's us
Now , the ' bad side' to that is that if/ when He made us . . . . He also KNEW IN ADVANCE we would choose the wrong path ...what to do then?
ANSWER:
Crucify the Lamb
BEFORE
the foundation of the world (Rev 13:8)
He wanted a FAMILY. Not JUST angels...( Hebrews 2:11)
Ones made REMARKABLY in His image ...
. . free will and ALL
But...
to do that " they gonna MESS UP"
ANSWER:
ADOPT them back in. . . (Eph 3:20)
In earthly terms, that was the ONLY way to do it ..and STILL give them free will
The rest is " fluff". Circular logic. Bringing in ideas and what ifs and how abouts that really have nothing to do with ANSWERING the question.
Putting way to many carts in front of way to many horses
I repeat...
A) Make free will creations ?
B) They gonna mess up
C) So, make a/ the plan to adopt them back in, after they fall . .
