There's a girl I care very deeply for who's been through alot in her life. She was abused when she was younger and as a result she carries many deep emotional wounds. The people who abused her, her parents among other people, all did so in the name of God, since they were in a cult.
She refuses to do what she calls 'conforming' to Christianity, no matter what I tell her she tells me that she can't conform like I have. She wants to hold her own beliefs no matter what and says that if that means she doesn't get into heaven it's just what's meant to happen.

I'd like to ask you all to pray for her to have her heart softened and for God to do something miraculous to get her to realize the truth.

Her perspective on "own belief" is ample common nowadays, very dangerous as we all see. I will pray for your friend brother, thank you for posting this.

I encourage everyone who reads this to please pray for this person. Its a shame that a child grows up tormented by the parents' / family ignorant ways. I'm sure we can all understand this young lady's view of 'own belief' after her own parents called themselves Christians, yet were anything but.

Hi Undergrounder,

I have just said a prayer for your friend. If it is any comfort I too remember saying similar words 'Hell will freeze over before I conform to Christianisty', your friend may possibly have a lot of pent up anger and may direct it towards Christianity for a while. I would advise to give her as much space as you possibly can with regards this.

I can relate somewhat to what she may be feeling, at a particular point in my life anyone who dared to mention the smallest thing to me about Christianity got both barrels. As you continue to lead your Christian life, she will indirectly see the good in Christianity again.

The Lord will call her to him when the time is right. Trust in this. He did with me.

God Bless

Eve

I appreciate the encouragement and advice, Eve; it's definately what I needed to hear.
And thank you all for your prayers, I trust that God will act in this situation in His time and will bring my friend to a point when she realizes the truth and accepts it.
God bless,
Jack
