Note to myself, but maybe beneficial to who ever reads it.
Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together. So here’s is want we should do, with God helping us: Take our everyday, ordinary life with everything we do and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for us, that is best thing we can do for him. Don’t become so well adjusted to our culture that we fit in without even thinking. Instead, fix our attention on God. We will be changed from the inside out. Recognize what God wants from us and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around us, always trying to drag us down to its level of immaturity. God brings the best out of us and develops well formed maturity in us.
If we want to love the way Jesus love's and be characterized by love in the way that our heart reflects by God, then pay attention on how we should respond to people who make us uncomfortable, the one who is different from us, the one who is different from you in a significant way, the one that you don't like, the one you don't understand or enjoys to be with, the one who have different belief's or hold distinct difference from your own. There are many dimension to christian love. The ability to love unconditionally is the one most characterized as the abundant life we have in Jesus Christ. The willingness to love unconditionally as a regular practice, is what significantly missing from many believer's lives. We say we want to love others just as God loves us. But too often we end up choosing comfort and convenience over compassion. This is not an example set by Christ and the way we are called to love as painful as relationships can be sometimes.
We are made in God's image. Relational beings, created to belong, to serve, to worship and to live in community's. God often provides for us and loves through the people in our lives, we are called to be His hands and feet to those around us.
We cannot reduce people's lives in one sweeping, judgmental statement filled with condemnation. Jesus never did that. But we must look in His gracious eyes, through Jesus eyes. We are bound by the world we live for, we live by, we live in. Ever tho, we live in the World, we don't have to live of the World. We have to love the people Jesus died for and it's our commission to love people. We must care and love extravagantly and the answer is not compromising the scripture, but it is not also reducing people's lives into unloving statement. It's about seeing what God sees and loving for the same unconditional love we have seen and showed by our savior Jesus Christ.
A spoken reprimand is better than approval that’s never been expressed. The wounds from a friends are worth it, but the flattering tongue from an enemy will do you in. Lord deliver us from an enemy’s kisses, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue. It is good for us to be reproved, and told of our faults, by our friends. If true love in the heart has but zeal and courage enough to show itself in dealing plainly with our friends, and reproving them for what they say and do inappropriately, this is really better, not only than secret hatred (as Lev. 19:17), but than secret love, that love to our neighbor which does not show itself in this good fruit, which compliments them in their sins, to the prejudice of their souls. Faithful are the reproofs of a friend, though for the present they are painful as wounds. It is a sign that our friends are faithful indeed if, in love to our souls, they will not suffer sin upon us, nor let us alone in it.
The Power Of Your Love: by Hillsong United
Lord I come to You
Let my heart be changed, renewed
Flowing from the grace
That I found in You.
And Lord I've come to know
The weaknesses I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love.
Hold me close
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near
Draw me to Your side.
And as I wait
I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love.
Lord unveil my eyes
Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love
As You live in me.
Lord renew my mind
As Your will unfolds in my life
In living every day
by the power of Your love.
Father, I just want to Thank you. For all I am and all I will be, it's only by the power of Your Love. Almighty Father, Thank you for your love in giving your only son to die on the cross for my sins. May Your Love surround me and draw me near. Both in joy and sorrow, may I bring you praises as your mighty hand is at work in me. Let Your Spirit lead me in your Loving arms, with the power of your Love keep renewing my mind in your faithfulness of Love. O'Lord Show me Your unconditional Love adding to my life faithfully. Lord unveil my eyes in the knowledge and power of Your love. My all I say and all I do give Glory, Honor and Praise to God. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
