Galatians 3:24 Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ that we may be justified by faith.
Interesting that at the time the book was written by Paul the New Testament books had not yet been written. In Luke 24:44 Jesus appearing to His disciples after His resurrection said "These are the words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms concerning me".
There are many references to Jesus Christ in the Old Testament and the physical world that will dispel any arguement as to the deity of Christ. For instance:
1. The length of the Ark was 300 cubits. 300 represents the faithful remnant. Genesis 6:15
2. The width was 50 cubits. 50 represents liberty. Liberty was given to the slaves in the 50th year, the year of Jubilee. Genesis 6:15. Jesus Christ represents the year of liberty for those in slavery to sin.
3. The height of the Ark was 30 cubits. Jesus was 30 years of age when He started His ministry. 30 represents maturity. Genesis 6:15
4. There was one window in the Ark which was above. They had to keep their eyes on God through all the tribulation that was to take place. 1 = there is only one God. Genesis 6:16
5. The Ark had one door through which to enter. Jesus is the only way we can be saved from Gods present judgement and that which is to come. Genesis 6:16, John 10:7.
6. There were three levels in the Ark, lower, second and third stories. There are three persons in the Godhead that are involved in our salvation. Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Genesis 6:16, Matthew 28:19.
7. There were eight that entered the Ark, 8 represents new beginnings. Genesis 7:1. Remember in the Old Testament boys had to be circumsised on the 8th day.
8. The rain lasted 40 days and 40 nights. Jesus was tested 40 days in the desert. 40 represents trials and tribulations. Genesis 7:12., Matthew 4:1-2.
Another example is found in Judges 13 in the birth of Samson. I have not got the time to go through the whole thing here but I will gladly expound this entire chapter to anyone who is interested. Send me a mail at [email protected]. Judges 13:19 - 20 points to Jesus on the cross. Mano'ah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the Lord: and the angel of the Lord did wondrously; and Mano'ah and his wife looked on. For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar: and Mano'ah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground. Well fire in the bible represents judgement, the altar the cross. Note that the fire did not consume Him as He ascended in the flame. He went up to heaven in the flame. Also note that Mano'ah and his wife were humbled before Him and were laid prostate at the sight of it. Anyone who truely repents before God will humble him/herself before the cross and acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord.
There are other examples that I can give but time and space do not allow. I am willing to go into the chat rooms or answer via e-mail if anyone is interested in more of this kind of teaching. Remember 2Timothy 3:15-17.
