And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

'We must not forget in our study of this subject that there are two resurrections of the dead. The first of the Righteous dead before the Millennium and the second of the Wicked dead after the Millennium.Rev.20 4-6. The subject cannot be treated fully in this pamphlet but will be found in the author's larger work on 'Dispensational Truth" in the chapters on 'The Resurrection and 'Spirit World' with charts *

4No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

“Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

It is clear 'Dispensational Truth' and Biblical truth are not the same . Larkin doesnt address what to do with the 'righteous' who die during the thousand years, as far a I could find in the booklet. That is not a problem for most proponents of DF thinking because if you can add one resurrection to Scripture there is no limit, place as many as you need.

So when your DF pastor says dispensationalism has never taught that Jesus preaching the gospel of the Kingdom is by nature a gospel different than our ,Pete's or Paul's you know he not being truthful.

Hello @Hitch,

I would be happy to discuss either of the issues you have raised: - The resurrection of those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as referred to in John 6: or the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, and His rejection by those to whom He came. Where would you like to start?

I am not familiar with the words of either Mr Larkin or Mr Schofield, so I suggest we stick to the subjects raised, and seek what God says in His Word concerning them. :)

Thank you

Hello again, @Hitch,

You have referred to the verses from John's gospel that you have quoted in the OP on several occasions in other threads, so perhaps we should begin with them.

'And this is the Father's will which hath sent Me,
that of all which He hath given Me I should lose nothing,
but should raise it up again at the last day.
And this is the will of Him that sent Me,
that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him,
may have everlasting life:
and I will raise him up at the last day.'

(Joh 6:39-40)

'No man can come to Me,
except the Father which hath sent Me draw him:
and I will raise him up at the last day.'

(Joh 6:44)

'Whoso eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, hath eternal life;
and I will raise him up at the last day.'

(Joh 6:54)

* There are more verses using this phrase:-

'Martha saith unto Him,
I know that he shall rise again
in the resurrection at the last day.'

(Joh 11:24)

He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My words, hath one that judgeth him:
the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.'

(Joh 12:48)

* What these verses tell us is that the Lord Jesus Christ will raise up those who believe on Him: and the words 'at the last day' repeated four times, tell us when.

* The words of Martha in John 11:24, tells us not only what she (herself) believed concerning the resurrection, but also that of her People, who. Paul tells us, believed that there would be a resurrection of the dead, both of the Just and the Unjust (Acts 24:15): so it is the subject of Old Testament Prophecy. Martha's use of the words, 'at the last day' anchors it in time. This resurrection is not the one which was the subject of a special revelation to the Church of God in 1 Thessalonians 4:16.

* The point at issue appears to be to what the words, 'the last day' refers to. ( The last of day of what? - The last of all days? Or the last day of a designated period? ) It's importance is stressed by it having been repeated four times within the space of so few verses.

* The words, 'in the last day' and 'at the last day' of the verses quoted above, which involve the raising of the dead, and also a time of judgement, indicate that this 'day' is not of a 24 hour duration, but to a period of time of sufficient length to make all that is required to be done possible.

* I believe 'the last day' refers to the last day of this present age.

Thank you

Hello @Hitch,

John the Baptist and The Lord Jesus Christ both preached, 'The Gospel of The Kingdom', so did Peter and the twelve, and Paul also during the approximately 40 year period covered by the book of the Acts of the Apostles. They confirmed what had begun to be spoken by the Lord. It was not new, for it was the subject of the Old Testament Prophets.

* The message proclaimed by Peter and Paul (during the Acts period) did differ in form: because the one was delivered by the Apostle to the Circumcision, and the other the Apostle to the Un-circumcision; both ministries however were carried out with the approval of the council at Jerusalem, who heard the gospel Paul preached, and gave it their seal of approval by the Spirit.

* Only following the revelation of God, received by Paul, at the end of the Acts period, concerning the gospel of the glory of Christ, did His message alter: and Christ's exaltation as Head of the Church which is His Body made known, by Paul, in the prison epistles, ie., Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon.

Thank you

Hello @Hitch,

I believe that you are misrepresenting the words of these men, and that your judgment is not sound in regard to them. Surely that can be considered to be slanderous or even libellous: for you are writing down and distributing untruths concerning men who are not here to defend themselves.

This is a sorry state of affairs, and your subject heading displays an attitude which is at best immature.
