Dear Lord we call upon your Great Name....Revive the Nations of the World..by raising up once AGAIN such as we have known in our day/generation. Men with Passion/for YOUR cause..
Men/Women who can deliver the GOSPEL.......without which there is no hope for men.

Thank you for posting this news @stephen
I only posted about George Beverly Shea here, a few days ago, having read how he was still singing and praising at 104

Now he will be joining the heavenly hosts in an eternal song unto the Lord he loved so dearly.

I read your comments. At such great age.....now he is at home with Jesus.

I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold....I'd rather be His than have riches untold
I'd rather have Jesus than world-wide fame....I'd rather be true to His holy Name

Than to be the king of a vast domain...and be held in sin's dread swa.....ay
I'd rather have Jesus than anything....this world affords today.

He's fairer than lilies of rarest bloom....He's sweeter than honey from out the comb
He's all that my wandering spirit needs........I'd rather have Jesus and let Him lead.

Than to be the king.........

I can see and hear him sing it now as I write... But I quote from memory and there may be more to this lovely song.

If you can add or correct.......please do.... Thanks

@stephen

Yes a beautiful song.....I too can hear George singing it as I think of the words
I believe he sang from his heart and the words shone through his life

Another verse.......

I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause;
I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I’d rather have Jesus than world-wide fame,
I’d rather be true to His holy name.

Blessed are the dead, which die in the Lord
