This thread is not about whether the Rapture is real or not. In fact I don't even want to hear the argument about it for one side or the other.

What this thread is about, is preparing for those who will stay. Whether you agree in the Rapture or not we know not everybody is going to go. So how do we prepare everyone in the sense of staying.

Scripture is clear that there are people who are going to be on the planet during the tribulation and they are going to be Christians.

We may be small in number, and we will have the Holy Spirit with us. But what should we do to prepare ourselves for this time to come. Certainly prayer certainly reading scripture but I would suggest along with this to be connecting with other Christians.

We do not know who God is going to choose Among Us to be these Chosen Few

When the Bridegroom (Jesus Christ) comes for His Church (the Bride), they will have their lamps full of oil (the Holy Spirit) and the wicks will be trimmed and burning brightly (they are ready). If not, they are not ready for the Bridegroom's appearing and will be left behind.

They are now faced with the "Mark of the Beast," if they accept that mark they are damned to the eternal Lake of Fire, if they reject that mark of the Beast by faith in Christ, they will now lay down their lives for that faith. That is what you can prepare for.

I think it's important to note, but not everyone is ready. So we should at least be teaching the understanding of what we need to do to be prepared. As we do not know the time or the hour, and we do not know what God has in mind for us. I'm sure everybody would like to think that they're going to leave the planet before who fits the fan. But all the examples of the Great Escapes in history from say Sodom and gomoro with lot leaving with the angels he didn't leave the planet just left the area where the destruction would take place. Or like Moses they didn't leave the planet they ended up wandering in the desert for 40 years after leaving egypt. And again if you look at Noah and the Ark has a good example of being rescued from the darkness and that was in the world got flooded the world but he they lived in the ARK for so long and I had to start all over again

In the parable of the Ten Virgins, the Bridegroom comes and finds 5 ready and 5 who are not ready.

The 5 who were ready had their lamps full of oil, the 5 who were not ready ran out of oil and were not ready for His arrival.

The oil represents the Holy Spirit. The 5 who were not ready were lacking the oil/Holy Spirit, this is religious activity thinking they were saved but were not.

It is faith from the heart in Jesus Christ and what He did on the Cross and His resurrection that makes one ready for the Bridegroom. That faith must be in tact and in operation upon His arrival or the door will be shut.

Well written

Mat 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

The five foolish virgins only looked the part and were only fake believers as Jesus tells them “l do not know you”

They key here is they could say the words to show they are christians, but they had no oil, no indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Many people here know scripture and can act like a christian and even say the right words, and they might have even had the Holy Spirit at conversion.... but they ignored it, they divorced it, and only read scriptures as if knowing scriptures gets you into the marriage feast.
