Mohan’s father had been in a coma for three days. Each day seemed never-ending. The family was frantic. Who would have thought that a routine shopping trip would result in a tragic accident? Mohan, his brothers and sister, and his mom were in a state of despair.
It was then that God sent a team of missionaries to that hospital, sharing the message of hope and salvation in Jesus. They also visited the room where Mohan’s father lay. Tenderly, they prayed for the unresponsive man. They also told the family about the living God and His great love for them.
Mohan’s heart was deeply touched by the kindness of the missionaries. To his amazement, his father was miraculously healed. Filled with wonder and excitement, the whole family received Jesus.
A new creation in Christ, Mohan forsook his bad habits. Very much desiring to grow closer to the God who had healed his father and saved his family, he daily spent time reading the Bible and praying. He also attended a GFA Believers Church and enjoyed fellowship with others who shared his new faith.
During this time of seeking the Lord’s presence, Mohan’s eyes were opened to the lost condition of people in his village. To the delight of his parents, he heard and followed God’s call to full-time ministry. He has enrolled at a GFA Bible college where, at age 19, he is being trained for evangelism among his people. Pray for our brother, that he would become a powerful witness to those who have never heard the Gospel.
