Girl Scouts of USA Says It Will Accept ‘Transgender Youth’ on a ‘Case-by-Case Basis'

(CNSNews.com) – Girl Scouts of the USA told CNSNews.com in a written statement on Friday that it will accept "transgender youth" on a "case-by-case basis."

The organization sent CNSNews.com the statement after CNSNews.com asked if the national Girl Scouts had a position on a case in which a Girl Scout troop in Colorado initially prevented a 7-year-old boy from joining and then the state Girl Scouts organization said that it would accept boys who were "living life as a girl."

The brief Girl Scouts of the USA statement made no mention of the Colorado case.

“Girl Scouts of the USA is an inclusive organization, and we welcome all girls in kindergarten through 12th grade as members," it said. "Acceptance of transgender youth is handled on a case-by-case basis, with the welfare and best interests of the child in question as a top priority.”

On Tuesday, 9news.com, a Denver-based television station, reported the story of the 7-year-old boy, Bobby Montoya. His mother, Felisha Archuleta, said that a local troop leader had told her Bobby could not join the troop because he was a boy.

As reported Thursday by CNSNews.com, Rachelle Trujillo, vice president of communications with Girl Scouts of Colorado, said the boy would be allowed to join the troop as long as he is “living life as a girl.”

The Girl Scouts of Colorado issued the follow statement on the matter:

“Girl Scouts is an inclusive organization, and we accept all girls in kindergarten through 12th grade as members,” the statement says. “If a child lives life as a girl and the family brings the child to us to participate in Girl Scouts, Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes her. Girl Scouts of Colorado respects the privacy of all girls and families we work with. When a family requests membership for their daughter, we do not require proof of gender, we respect the decisions of families.”

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of transgender is: “of, relating to, or being a person (as a transsexual or transvestite) who identifies with or expresses a gender identity that differs from the one which corresponds to the person's sex at birth.”

Next our Doctors are going to start saying....." I'm happy to say you have an 8 pound healthy human". We'll let the person decide what they are when they get older. wow !!!

This was planned.What right woman in her mind would want to put her son in a club for girls, when there's a club establish for boys. There are groups and activist who set up these situations to cry discrimination, to get notice by the public. For all we know girls scout created this scheme to increase funding and their membership. One thing that stood out for me, it was a woman who took her son. Where is the Father? Who is the head of this household ?

This is becoming a trend in every story about a boy being placed in girly situations, majority was done by mothers. Whether the stories be true or not.

Where are the Godly men?
Godly men we need you to take charge of your homes, you are the head and your wife is your helper.

A child needs both mother and father. Where are the GODLY parents? Where are the GODLY mothers and fathers, men and women who will NOT stand for what this world deems as right, but what God says is right.

It starts with BOTH and trickles down to the children.

Yes, the man is the head, but the woman is not the feet, but the hand...sometimes the heart of a home. If the parents are not on the same page, where does that leave the children? :-S

The topic is about the Girl Scouts. When the Boy Scouts had/have there issues with gay men wanting to be scout leaders they handle it themselves. Being this is the "Girl" Scouts I personally think the Godly women with in should stand up and make there voice be heard. Not saying the husbands/fathers at home should stay quiet.

It is a very sad situation, especially for this boy. I doubt this boy was ever allowed to be a boy. This will harm this child, and the molding of an infant baby boy to become a man starts at birth. This moher will someday see the day when no amount of tears will change her man in pink.

This news is so disturbing.... imagine a little girl seeing her fellow scout standing while peeing... awful sight. Talk about building a strong principle that they break themselves. Satan is really working double time. No I dont agree in this, Girl Scouts are GIRLS scout for a reason... and nope there shouldnt be any gay scout. :disagree:

The short answer is that a girl as a member of the Girl Scouts, would live life becoming a woman. And, the same would be true that a boy as a member of the Boy Scouts would live life becoming a man. Well, that's the theory which has existed for many generations. Even Nature has distinct roles of male / female. As Paul said, "does not Nature teach you ...". Look around the animal world. There is no other animal as confused over gender as we are Ask a hunter looking for a buck: does he say that maybe it's a transgender doe? Not lilely.

If laws are passed that it is the child who decides which gender they wish to be, then what does one name the child? Does one pick gender neutral names? There aren't many to pick from. The boy/girl never had a mother. Instead, he/she had a gender challenged father who not only looked like a woman, but was also fully functional as one. How stupid can some people really be? Folks, God is not the author of confusion.
