1 John 3:5,8 1 John 3:5 KJV
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

1 John 3:8 KJV
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

So, the works of the devil have to do with sin. Because before sin there was no works of the devil. In Genesis 3:22 it reads, And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil. Notice, after man sinned God said man has become like us to know good and evil, so apparently all man knew was good. The scripture says, all God's works were good so the works have to be coming from someone else if they are evil. And they gained access legally because of Adam's sin. And one of the devil's works is sickness, so he came to destroy sickness. Sickness was never in God's plan. To destroy sickness he had to do something about sin because they are connected, sin is the source. Sin and sickness are connected like forgiveness and healing are connected. That's why where you see forgiveness healing is right there with it because they are connected-Psalm 103:3 KJV Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. James 5:14-15 KJV reads, Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: [15] And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

You see an example of the connection between sin and sickness in Num. 16:41-50:

But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

[42] And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.

[43] And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.

[44] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

[45] Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

[46] And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

[47] And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.

[48] And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

[49] Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

[50] And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.

Notice, when atonement was made the plague stopped. Atonement is a covering of sin(give example). When sin is covered you stop getting the effect of sin, but the sin is still there. So, if it ever becomes uncovered then you would once again get the effect of it. That's why the day of atonement(Yon Kippur) was so important, because if your sins became uncovered they would get the effect of them. But, Jesus didn't come for atonement, he came to take away the sin of the world( show the difference). That's what John 1:29 says, The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Notice, it says the sin of the world and not sins of the world. Once Adam sinned the works of the devil had access so what Adam loosed on humanity Jesus came to take away from humanity, because they are all tied to sin. Example, if I hold a flame under my hand what would come from that flame, heat. But, if I take something and cover the flame my hand will no longer get the effect of heat, that's atonement. But, the flame is still there and if it becomes uncovered my hand will once again get the effect of heat. But, if I take the flame away the heat will go with it.

1Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Notice, it says by whose stripes ye were healed, were means something has already occurred. Now, the thing is there is a misunderstanding about healing. People think healing is when everything is cleared up and all the symptoms are gone then they say they're healed. But, that's really not healing, that's not what he's talking about here. He is not talking about something done to your body, because if he was talking about the body that would be a lie because everyone has had some form of sickness. Healing is a spiritual act, it's something done in the spiritual. Just like God told Abraham, "I have made thee a father of many nations", when he was almost 100 years old. He couldn't have been talking about his body because the scripture says his body was dead and you can't be a father of many nations with a dead body. He was talking about what was done in the spiritual. Something has to take place in the spiritual before something manifest in the physical. Luke 6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. Notice, something took place in the spiritual before something manifested physical. Same thing with the woman with the issue of blood, virtue/power flowed out of Jesus then straight way the fountain of blood dried up. It's spiritual first then physical/manifested.

And what Peter is saying in 1Peter 2:24 is something has already been done in the spiritual for you to receive and have it manifest physical. Just like Abraham something was done in the spiritual for him to receive and have manifest physically. So, you are not waiting for an act of healing, what you need is a manifestation of healing. Remember the Shunamite woman in 2 Kings 4 when her son died she asked her husband to get one of the young men to take her to see the man of God Elisha and he asked her what for and she told him, "All shall be well". So, she goes to see Elisha and when he saw her coming he sent his servant to see if all was well, he asked her is it well with you, is well with your husband, is it well with your son and she said, "All is well". She was not talking about him physically because he was dead. How could she say that, because she caught a glimpse of something in the spirit so she was not going to him for an act of healing, she was going to him for a manifestation of what she caught a glimpse of in the spirit. If you see it then it's already there in the spirit, you don't need it to be an act to be done. What you need is for what you see to be manifested. There's a difference between an act and a manifestation-an act is something to be done, but a manifestation is the result of something already done. (Note: Cause and Effect- Cause spiritual/Effect physical -There has to be a cause/an act in order to have an effect/manifestation. The cause is spiritual and the effect is physical.)

Where did your dress come from? Where did your car come form? Where did your cell phone come from? Everything that manifests here is the result of the spiritual. Where did your dress come from, a spirit, man is a spirit and as such he resides in the spirit realm. So, whatever he does it's done from the realm of the spirit and he uses his body to make contact and do things in this material world.
So, without the spirit man operating in the spirit realm you wouldn't have that dress, that car, that cell phone, that house, that computer. All of those physical things are a manifestation of the spiritual realm. Something is done in the spiritual for something to manifest in the physical. Same thing with your healing something had to be done in the spiritual for you to have healing in the physical/your body. And What 1 Peter 2:24 is saying is something has already taken place in the spiritual which can be manifested into the physical/your body. Like, Adam when he ate that fruit that was a spiritual act 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. The act took place in the spiritual, but the result showed up in the physical/material world.

When something manifest in your body and the symptoms go away that's not the act that's the result. The act took place in the spiritual first and then the result took place in the physical. (Luke 6:19 they sought to touch him for virtue/power went out of him(act) and healed them all(result). The act took place in the spiritual for something to manifest in the physica/in their bodies. Notice, 2Corinthians 5:10 New American Standard Bible 2020 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive compensation for (his deeds done through the body), in accordance with what he has done, whether good or bad. What is the scripture saying, the person(spirit man) is doing things in this physical realm through his body. That's why the scripture says we will give an account for the deeds done through the body not by the body. Because, it's the person in the body doing it. He's simply using his body to do physically what he is doing spiritually, his body is an instrument to do things in this material world. That's why the scripture says when you commit fornication you sin against your own body, the body has no choice. You might look at Jesus going through his passion physically, but something was being done in the realm of the spirit also. Like Adam when he ate that fruit, people look at that on a natural level, but the scripture says that was a spiritual act that he used his body to do 1Cor 6:18. So, here is Jesus doing something in the spiritual and he's using his body to do it. Notice, Adam's spiritual act of sin caused a physical manifestation of sickness (Num 16). Jesus spiritual act causes a physical manifestation of healing.

Notice, what he did he took our sins in his own body, but he didn't just bare our sins in his own body, but he also bore our sicknesses and diseases in his own body. Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs(sicknesses and diseases), and carried our sorrows(pains and afflictions): yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (Remember the example - a flame and heat are connected. The effect of a flame is heat, the flame is the source. By taking away the source the effect will follow.) Well, Adam's sin is the source of sickness and disease, take the source away and the effect has to follow. That has taken place in the spiritual that's why he can say you were healed. Because, in the spiritual your sicknesses and diseases have already been taken. For him to bare ours in his own body they had to be taken from us. And when you receive that physically that's when the condition will go out of your body. He's not talking about something done in this material realm. Because, healing is a spiritual act that can manifest physically. So, when all the symptoms have cleared up is not when you were healed that's when you received what was done in the spiritual, that's when it manifested.

Luke 17 the ten lepers(but first let's look at Mark chapter 1:40-44)

40And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt,w thou canst make me clean.

41And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

42And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

43And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

44And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
(Notice, you go to the priest to show yourself cleansed)

Luke 17:12-14 KJV And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: [13] And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. [14] And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. Jesus sent the man to the priest for him to verify that he was cleansed or healed because you only went to the priest for him to verify you are cleansed. The man had bodily evidence that he was cleansed. Now, when Jesus sent the 10 lepers he sent them for verification of being cleansed/healed, but they had no bodily evidence of being clean/healed. So, their walk was a walk of faith. Now, the average person would say as they went they were cleansed or healed as if that's when the act took place, no, they were healed when Jesus said, "Go show yourselves to the priest" and as they went they received. What did the centurion say, speak the word only and my servant will be healed. Well, he spoke here so as far as Jesus was concerned his part was done. If fact, if he didn't do anything there was nothing to receive. So, obviously Jesus did when he said and as they went they received. But, notice even though Jesus did something nothing was done physically, nothing changed physically. Because, what he did he did in the spiritual, he established something in the spiritual first. By sending them to the priest he is calling them cleansed.

And as they went they received what was established in the spiritual and that's when they received something done in their body. But, notice something had to be done in the spiritual first for something to manifest in the material, physical realm. The condition of your body has nothing to do with whether God has done something for you or not. So, you can't wait until you see something or feel something to believe that He has done something. Your body is no indication of whether something has been done in the spiritual, but what it can indicate is when you have received what has been done in the spiritual. Your body let's you know when what has been done in the spiritual has manifested in the physical/in your body. No works of the devil is more powerful than the works the blood of Jesus has accomplished. Now how do you walk in what the blood has done for you, here's why your words are so important-Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Don't limit the word salvation to just being born again, it mean salvation, health, safety, rescue. Your words are vital in you receiving healing, because the scriptures says that your words are health/healing to your flesh when they are in line with God's word

Proverbs 4:20-22 says, My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. [21] Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. [22] For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. That word health is translated- medicine, remedy, healing, and cure. Pro 12:18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. So, your words in line with his are healing to your flesh. Notice, Abraham's body was dead and Sarah's womb was dead, how did the life they needed manifest in their bodies, by their words. He changed their names from Abram-High father to Abraham- Father of a multitude and from Sarai-My princess to Sarah-Princess of nations. He got them speaking in line with what He promised Abraham. The life they needed was in the word. God got them to do Romans 10:10 believe and speak. For Romans 4:19,20 says, And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: [20] He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And Hebrews 11:11 says, Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. What does the scriptures tell us to do, Hold fast to your confession of faith. Your confession of faith is healing to all of your flesh.

If you don't understand healing you will keep waiting on God to do something physically for you, but healing is spiritual. If you keep waiting on him to do then you put yourself in a position of not receiving. Because you receive from God by faith, well Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. If you are waiting on him to do then you can't have the faith to receive. Because, if faith is the substance of things hoped for, how can you have the substance of something that doesn't exist. Because if He has to do then it's not done, so how can you have the substance of something if it's not done. For you to have faith for something it has to be done first, because you can't have evidence of something that hasn't happened yet. Just by the nature of faith it let's us know that the works are already done. But, they are done in the spiritual realm and the works done there can manifest here. So, you are not waiting on an act of healing from God, what you need is a manifestation of healing because true healing is spiritual that manifest physical. Something happens in the spiritual before it manifests here in your body. And what anyone needs to be done in the spiritual for them to receive healing in the physical has already taken place. That's why Peter tells us you were healed, so stop looking at your body as an indication of whether God has done something or not. Because, if you are going to receive from God by faith your flesh is not the evidence, the word is. God resides in the realm of the spirit because He is a spirit, so whatever He does it's first done in the spirit. And you are spirit so what He has done in the spirit has to be received spiritually first before it manifests physically.

What God did is give you the advantage over sickness and disease: Sickness and disease are locked in time, they operate in time. That's why doctor's can tell you how much time you have left when you have a terminal disease. And a lot of times just like they said the person is gone. Because, it has to work up to an expected end in time. No body gets cancer today and dead tomorrow, no. But, your healing is in a realm of no time, 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. In the spirit there is no time. So, your healing doesn't have to manifest in time. Your healing that's not in time can manifest before that sickness comes to it's expected end in time. I don't care what cell, germ, whatever it is a manifestation of the spiritual. Every physical thing is a manifestation of the spiritual. Your car, house, clothes, phone, computer are all manifestations of the spiritual, because man is spirit. So, if it's in the earth it is either a work of God, the devil, or man all which are spirits. But, only one is clothed in flesh which gives him dominion given by God. And with that dominion you have some say over how things go. You decree a thing, I will live and not die and declare the works of The Lord. When you decree something decree your healing not your condition. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. God's word says, by whose stripes ye were healed. He couldn't say you were if He still has to do something for you to be. So, the only thing left to do is receive it.

It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. [10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 2 Peter 3:9 King James Version 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
