John 10:10-11 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths
I wasn't sure where to post this but it seems appropriate to put it here in this section of the forums. Life is full of trials and yes heartaches and when these times come and we are forced to face or deal with them our first instinct because we are human is to ask " why is this happening God?" we can't understand why things happen or why circumstances are the way they are, but in the bible we are told that we aren't to lean on our own understanding. I believe that we being human can't even begin to understand what God does and we could drive ourselves crazy trying to understand or figure it out when trials or situations arise, but God says we don't have to understand. Lean not on your own understanding just trust Me and know that I am in control and working to bring you through and I will not leave nor will I forsake you. Just Trust Me says our Lord Jesus. God wants what is best for us if He didn't He wouldn't of given His own Son for us so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to Him. Jesus is our Good Shepherd and He gave His life for us His sheep so that we might have life and have it abundantly, but how can we have that abundant life if we are busy trying to figure those things out that we cannot even begin to understand. We also need to realize that there are things that can hinder us from having that abundant life. When we go through things we tend to let our emotions rule our thoughts and actions. Emotions and feelings like hate, anger, bitterness, jealousy, resentment are like a cancer that if not given to God will fester in your heart, mind and soul eat you alive from the inside...that isn't living the abundant life that our Lord and Savior gave His own life for...by holding on to those things we only hurt ourselves and put up a road block of sorts in our relationship with Jesus. "You just don't understand what i've been through or the hurt i've had in my life" well, this may be very true but there is one who does understand and He is there arms open wide saying give me your heartaches, your hurts, give me the jealousy, hate, pain, anger, bitterness and resentment let me take them from you and replace them with a love, comfort and peace that you have never known before, that can only come through and by Me if only you will let me. Trust Me, lean on Me, Let Me mend your broken heart I am here just come to Me.
To Live the abundant life Jesus has intended for us means we are filled with His Joy because He is our joyand our strength, and it means that even in the midst of hard times we know there is someone there who provides us with everything we need and will comfort us, love us and give us a peace like none other and will bring us through. We are saved by His blood that covers us and cleanses us from our sins so why not while we're here on this earth enjoy our lives the lives that He Himself gave His own for...satan would love nothing more than to take our joy and try to destroy us, but guess what with Jesus on our side we cannot be destroyed because we are victorious in Him. " I may be down right now and I may not understand why things happen or why im going through what I am, but I know that Jesus is working for me and that He will bring me through and I will not stay down but instead get down on my knees and praise Him for being with me right now in the midst of (insert whatever you may be going through), I will praise Him for being the God He is strong, powerful, unchanging, unmovable and loving beyond any measure that I can imagine, Praise Him because He saved me when I couldn't save myself and Praise Him because He will never leave me nor forsake me, I will Praise Him and not stop and no matter what you do satan I am and will always be a child of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords I am His and He is mine! Hallejuah and Praise be unto Him! " When you are tired, weary, sad, and it seems so hard to praise or worship let me encourage to say that simple prayer of praise to our Lord and to know that God wants you to have life and to have it abundantly.
God's blessings flow upon you and fill you to overflowing
