God's Not Dead

My daughter, a friend, and my friend's son saw God's Not Dead yesterday at the theatre. I enjoyed it. I did like Son of God better, but I thought God's Not Dead was well done. The plot was a little bit predictable but it was a good mainstream movie and young people seem to love it from what it seems to me. It does give glory to God and the main character was an "awesome dude". What do you all think that saw it?

My 14 yr old went with the church group Saturday a saw it . He text me after and said it made him love God even more ! No greater confession to my ears ill tell ya ! All that went said the same thing " every believer should see this movie " ....Rev

I saw this with my wife last night. I was amazed the movie was sold out. One thing I have criticized 'Christian' movies in the past is that
they really don't give any reason to follow Jesus or what He can do for your life. Not so with this movie. I thought they did a really great job
of showing how people need Jesus. Thumbs up. The best Christian movie I have seen in several years.

Saw the movie tonight.
I would say that there were less than a dozen people watching in the movie theater. Thursday night so I can understand the few people. Yet if one would come to Christ Jesus through this movie it would be worth it.

I can honestly say I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Would even be a good Evangelistic tool to bring someone who is not a believer to go see. Allow them to see questions that they themselves might have asked themselves. It also shows the pain and suffering that one goes through in life both with Christ and without. The difference being the Christian standing in faith even in the mist of such pain can still find rest. Especially, when joined with others of faith. (Matthew 18:20)

A question that I wonder to other, begs asking to those who don't believe was asked by one of the band members to a character that was dying who did not believe "What do you hope in?"

I you haven't seen it yet I would suggest making time to do so. You shouldn't regret going. The infrequency of finding even Christians movies that would have the non-believer or even the believer think, are rare and far in between.

Question:
I do have a question of movie theater etiquette or maybe more than one question. I can recall in my younger days when going to the movies, outside of continuous talking, one could clap during parts of the movie. Has this changed? My wife and son on either side of me for the most part had to each hold a hand to stop me from clapping and though I wasn't blocking anyone's view I wanted to raise my hands praising God, but again got shushed by them :-( Even at the end of the movie as people were leaving I asked folks if they were believers in Christ Jesus as their Savior and either was ignored or just smiled at and no reply was given. Was I wrong? How out of place was my behavior?

At times like this I can't wait for the Lord's return that I may shout His name no matter where I'm at giving Him all the Glory and Praise and know that I won't be alone in doing so!
