Hebrews 10:23--23 Let us hold fast the profession(confession) of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised
Hebrews 4:14--14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession(confession).
Romans 10:10-- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
The word confession is a combination of two greek words #3674 hom-oo the same and #3056 logos something said. So, together it means-saying the same thing. So, the scriptures are saying keep saying God's word. Notice, it says with the mouth confession is made unto salvation so it's not just a matter of saying God's word just to be saying God's word you confess unto salvation. And we have limited that word salvation to mean being born again, but it means much more than that. Salvation means--deliver, heal, preserve, make whole. So, there are benefits to saying God's word. Understand when you speak God's word you are putting spiritual principals into operation. Like, Isaiah 55:10,11--For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but waterth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Notice, God said as the rain and snow comes down from heaven and does not return so shall his word be, what does He mean. Any word that comes out of his mouth He will not take back. Psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. God can't say one thing and do another, once it passes his lips He's bound to it. And then He said his word will not return void, how does his word return to him when you speak it. And the word void means--not producing any or desired effect/not sufficient to produce it's effect. So, speaking his word is suppose to have an effect. And notice his next statement, but it shall accomplish that which I please. So, the effect of the word you speak is to accomplish/bring to pass what it says. Remember the word will not return void-without producing any or desired effect.
Another spiritual principle is what Jesus taught in Mark 4 The Parable Of The Sower in verse 3 it says, Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow. So, this man is sowing seeds and verse 14 tells you what the seed is, the sower soweth the word. So, the word of God is the seed. And in the next verse it tells you were the seed is sown, And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. So, the heart of man is the soil where the seed is sown. Notice, what Jesus says in verse 22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. For years I thought this verse was referring to someone trying to keep a secret and people finding out, but I found out that's not what this verse is talking about when I looked up the words. Because, sometimes people use words differently. What words meant then they might not mean the same thing now.
In The Strongs Concordance verse 22- that word hid means hidden inwardly/to conceal by covering #2927
that word manifested means visible/appear #5319
that word secret is the same word hid (to conceal by covering) #2928
that word come one meaning is grow #2064
that word abroad means appear, manifest,be seen, (outwardly)#5318
Remember everything up to this point is only about sowing seed, it's not about hiding secrets. So,what is Jesus saying: For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested/The word you put inside will be seen outside. Neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad/The word you put inside will grow and be seen outside
You can't hide what's been sown because all you have to do is wait and see what comes up. And what you put inside the ground will be seen on the outside. That's what Jesus said in verses 26-28: And he said, So (in this way, referring to what precedes it) is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. What Jesus is saying is the word that you speak at some point you are suppose to see. Because, the way you plant the seed of the word is by speaking Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. In the natural if you put a rose seed in the ground and gave it water and light at some point you will see a actual rose. And you expect to see an actual rose. Well, according to the word-the word is seed(Mark 4:14), it's also water (Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word), it's also light (Psalm 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light.), and the heart of man is the soil. So, everything you have in the natural you also have in the spiritual, seed, soil, water, and light it works the same way. What do you think the scriptures mean when it talks about the fruit of your lips, fruit is the product of seed sown. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 12:14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth. Notice, what Jesus said in Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. That's where the fruit comes from out of you.
When you speak the word it's going into your heart and the seed, water, and light of the word is in there working. The word is working on the inside for something to be seen outside. Think about this a rose seed is a rose it's just in a different form. Take all of us in our mothers when we were in there we were not in the form we are now, but we were just as real in that form as we are in this form. Inside we were in egg form, are we in egg form now, no. What happpened when the two things came together there was a activation and what's inside starts a process that will bring it on the outside. The same thing with the soil and the seed in the natural. And in the spiritual when the word makes contact with your spirit there is an activation of that word seed. The word has the ability to change form John 1:14 says, And the word was made flesh. The word is spirit and the flesh is physical. In John 4:24 it says, God is a spirit. And yet in 1 Timothy 3:16 it says that God was manifest in the flesh. So, the seed which is spiritual can be manifested physical. If you look up the words (thing) and the word (Word) in the old and new testament they are the same word. Because, words(which are spiritual) can become things (which are physical). Remember, Romans 10:10- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Notice, you receive something by saying something. So, salvation is a product or manifestation of your words. You can bring what is inside(word form) to the outside into (manifested form) that's Luke 6:45. You can do that with any word/seed of God. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. What is that good success the word in manifestation.
In the case of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34 it reads 25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. (AMPC) says she kept saying 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. What thing did she do, she brought forth the word she had on the inside to the outside. She did what we're talking about and Jesus preached about. Notice, verse 34 thy faith hath made the whole (that's the same word for salvation). Thy faith hath made thee whole, what is faith-the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. That's the same things a seed is, a seed is the substance of the thing you plant it for and it's the evidence that it exists because if it didn't you can't have a seed of it. A seed only produces a copy never an original. So, it's not just speaking, the faith(the substance of the thing has to be in you.) Just like a seed if you don't put the substance/seed of it on the inside you will not have the thing outside. You can't have the thing outside without the substance of it inside.
What did Jesus tell the centurion, "Go thy way, and as thou hast believed so be it done unto you. He did the same thing as the woman with the issue of blood. He said, just speak the word only and my servant shall be healed he had the faith/the substance of that thing in him and he spoke it out. That's Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Remember the woman with the issue of blood, what did she have inside {if I may but touch his clothes I shall be made whole}. See, your mouth tells you what's inside, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So, what she had inside is what she got outside. How did she bring it from the inside to the outside she said. When your mouth speaks what's inside then what's inside will be brought to the outside. You see the same thing with the centurion what did he have on the inside, "Just speak the word only and my servant shall be healed." And what did he get outside the same thing he had inside. How did he bring it forth, he said. Your mouth tells you what's inside. And when you speak what's inside it will be brought to the outside. Remember when the disciples came to Jesus and asked how come they couldn't cast out that devil, and Jesus told them because of your unbelief. What was he saying when you spoke you didn't have it inside so you couldn't have it outside. Then he said, for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. What was he saying, if you had it on the inside when you spoke you would have had it on the outside in manifestation. Because, the scripture says, he gave them authority over all devil.
Another principle you can do that with is your healing. Your healing can come from the inside-out: 20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Notice, it's the same principle Jesus taught in Mark 4 the word is the seed, the soil is your heart and the word is also the water and the light. So, what the scripture is saying is plant and water the seed. So, theres healing in the word. That word life is taken from a word that means-to revive, make alive, nourish up, quicken, recover, and repair, restore life to. And that word health is translated--medicine, healing, remedy, and cure. So, life and health are in the seed of the word. Example: God told Abram(before the name change) in Genesis 17:4,5,15 -- 4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. But in Romans 4:19 it says, And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb. So, his body was dead and hear womb was dead so what did God do, He changed their names from Abram-high father to Abraham-father of a great multitude and from Saria-my princess to Sarah-princess of the multitude. He changed their names to in agreement with his word. He had them speak(confess) in agreement with his word. Their names were a seed, a seed of life. And that seed produced the life they needed because they did have a child. Where did the life come from the seed/word.
And you see in Acts 14:7-10--7 And there they preached the gospel. 8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: 9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. Notice, what happened seed was planted and watered. 1 Corinthians 3:6,7 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. So, seed was planted and watered and that seed produced healing. Nobody prayed for him, no one called on the name of Jesus, just him and the word. In John 5 they had the pool of Bethesda where when the angel came down at a certain season and stirred up the water the first one that stepped in was healed of whatever they had. In Mark 5 they had the hem of Jesus garment when the woman with the issue of blood touched it she got healed. We have something better, we don't have to wait by a pool, we don't have to find the hem of Jesus garment we have the word. I don't need Jesus to come back to get healed, Romans 10:6-8 says: 6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. Those things worked from the outside in, but the word works from the inside- out. I can put the word in me and take it whereever I go. It's the word you put inside that you will see manifested in your life. In 1 Corinthians 3:9 it says, you are God's husbandry--that word means farm(soil) make sure you sow God's seeds. Get the word in your heart because the word you get in your heart if you stick with it you will have on the outside/manifested.
It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Hebrews 4:14--14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession(confession).
