I don't have good options for a cellphone but I've been with them long enough I'm a "Loyalty member" and with Veteran status.
I'm no fan of 5g. I learned a few things. All Verizon stores have 5G. The closest major city to me is the 3rd city to our West. It has 5G but don't have many towers. We have a major airport roughly 15 minutes away and it does not have 5G via FCC rules.
Verizon at least will have 4G for at least the next 5 years if not longer. As 5G is time consuming to implement on larger areas, say all of America this will take time. At home I'm back down to 4G. The two stores in our town have 5G but if you're far enough away a 5G capable phone will go to 4G.
I know there's talk of 5G being an "activator" for COVID but I haven't gone down that rabbit hole. As you can see I did not die nor go insane at 5G exposure.
The idea it can sounds absurd but it is plausible.
