This may be a petty concern, but I'm a little bit curious ...
My mother purchases most of our chicken, pork, & lunch meat when its on sale. She came home with this strange package of hot dogs today, that she wanted me to "google" (to see what type of hot dogs they are.) (The package read "Zabiha Halal hot dogs")
I found out that these hot dogs were made according to Islamic law and the meat had to be slaughtered in a special way. The main thing that makes me uncertain about eating these, is that when the animal was slaughtered it had to be done in the name of Allah.
I know as Christians we are not supposed to eat food dedicated to idols, would this be the same thing?
