Happily Ever After - June 22, 2006
There was a girl, who lived in Texas, and didn't ride on horses (occasionally) and sometimes said, "Yeehaw!" (only for fun). She grew up with her family, out on the country side, and they called her "Princess".
As she grew older, she fell into a pit and couldn't find her way out, for it was too dark, too deep, and she wasn't able to grasp anything around her. She cried out, "Someone save me!" She kept crying out, day after day, to anyone, for a chance that she might be saved from the darkness.
When she thought all was lost, a light shone from above and an out-stretched hand came to her rescue. She reached out and grabbed this mysterious and mighty hand. When she was pulled from the pit, she saw that the King had saved her from death and brought her back to life. He said, "Follow me and I will show you the way, the truth, and the life."
The young princess followed the King whereever He went and sometimes stumbled along the way, but kept looking towards His crown for direction. Even then, he carried her when she could not walk. The young princess gave her heart and soul to the King and thanked him for His kindness and mercy. He said, "My Kingdom is yours, faithful one. For you shall seek me and find me there."
Her life is still committed to the King and she lifts up her hands to the One who saves. She will live Happily Ever After, in His heavenly Kingdom, while her King sits on the throne of grace! And she will praise Him for eternity!
"I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." - Revelation 19:11-16
"Amen, Hallelujah! Praise the King!"
