not seen one in real life but have seen a ufo, I followed it on my bike for about 1/4 mile.

we don't get a lot of lightning where i live. ball lightning is definitely a real thing but i suspect a lot of it is a hallucination, for example ball lightning inside aircraft. everyone reports seeing something different and rarely do the testimonies match. some of this is consistent with the usual human problems, but its also consistent with the emf of the lightning bolt interfering with the mind.

a couple of the short clips in that youtube vid you posted are not ball lightning but rather an electrical arc between two powerlines traveling horizontally down the line. if you search for that you can find some that are quite long. the blue/green color and the smooth horizontal motion gives it away.
