Have you ever thought of what it would be like to encounter God?


Have you ever thought of what it would be like to encounter God? Can you even imagine His majesty and glory? Or perhaps you might dream of His tender love and kindness? In all truth, God longs to encounter you on a daily basis! Scripture declares, "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His." And it was Jesus who said, "True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him." Wow, what a mind-blowing concept! The God of the universe is searching all across the earth to find people who want to meet with Him. God is seeking you; are you seeking Him? Another time Jesus told us to, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness." So how does one go about trying to encounter God?


Prayer is a good place to start. Not just asking Him for things, but simply spending time talking and listening to God. And speaking of listening, perhaps you should add in some Scripture reading in your attempt to encounter God. He does speak primarily through His written Word. Next, it would seem like worshiping Him in song would be a proper response to His Presence. And finally, even a bit of humble silence might be in order. There it is: Prayer, Scripture, Song, and Silence. Simple tools to help you encounter the Living God. Enough said; just do it. God be with you all...

Amen, amen we live to know Him. It is our purpose and high calling
John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
We are in a unike position, to be able to come to encounter the God of the universe. With our sins washed away by the blood of Jesus.
I believe it is a training process to come into His presence everyday. To set apart time for Him. I think it is the most important in a christian life, getting to know Him.

Beautiful! I know one thing for sure, being in the presence of the Lord is the ultimate experience. What could surpass? Nothing! His majesty and power and glory. Wow, it is just too awesome to imagine.
