Batman beginning and The dark knight?

I watched The dark knight when it first came out, in the theater, and at the end of it I couldn't say anything! I just sat there, dumb founded and if you knew me you'd know that's something!

Recently, I watched the first installment, Batman beginning and I actually liked it quite a lot. I thought it had a great story line and good acting.

So, what say you? I'm curious about your takes on these movies, especially the 2nd one.

I must say Batman begins was good, I did not watch black knight because I truly believe it played a role in Heath Ledger's death. why the joker has to look so demented.
I love the old stuff, Adam west 1966....Michael Keaton ( I love this guy ) Val Kilmer...

I can't remember the comics that good, I loved the old cartoons.

My reviews will be bias because I love the OLD.

Actually, I am convinced it played a role in it; in fact I believe it was the reason he died. If you watch the movie you will see what I mean. He went to a place no one should ever go to unprotected and even so, it would still be dangerous. His portrayal of the joker was Oscar worthy but it cost him dearly. It was actually as close to pure evil as it gets. Still it was a masterful performance but I am grieved he died because of it.

Batman was an type of George Bush facing down terrorism despite enormous personal cost.

I loved the new Batmans. I felt Batman Begins was a little better than the Dark Knight. Ledger was brilliant!

It has indeed! Hiya Chili! Good to see you too! Cooked anything spicy lately:shade::wink:? I think you'd like TDK if you saw it! Heath Ledger was out of this world! And unfortunately for him I mean that literally!

I agree about Batman Begins being better. It had a better story line and a lot more soul! Ledger made TDK! Otherwise, without his performance it would've been just another violent movie! Oldman was pretty good too but then again he is top notch in anything he plays!

Actually yes I did cook something very spicy today. I made a Tomateo
salsa with devils toung Chile pepper. All most as hot as the ghost chili but with a better flavor and a bit more tolerable heat range. It's a green salsa. BTW I got all the batman dvds' wholly cow Batman what do we do now!!!!!!!!!!!???? heheheh

Ya the "POW" signs. That is the original Batman tv series. I remember them vividly. I was only 10 years old at the time. late 60's:shade: cool beans man!!

The Dark Night

Someone asked me about it. My take, I used to own in the 70's a lot of comic books. In the story it showed the writer of the comic strip first intentions, detective nostalgia. the new writers spin, The Dark Night, was that the joker was that of demonic demon possessed. though it did not say so it was what we all saw. For people who are lost and do not know the love of the father through Jesus Christ. I give the movie a thumbs down. A thumbs down to the very pits of hell. this is what I think! And based off of scripture this is evil trying to associate itself into the norm. This is from what I know to be truth

Well, in regards to Heath Ledger, I think he was coming out of his character and probably going through other anxieties and just overdosed. I don't think he meant to. Anyway, I loved The Dark Knight. Batman Begins was ok. I think I was missing that dramatic effect Tim Burton seemed to give it. Like how a whole seen could be black and white but someone would be wearing a red rose. The Dark Knight showed the modern day joker. Jack Nicholson was amazing for his time, and probably really freaky in that time. Plus, The Dark Knight sort of gave hope for our society. Like there is still good in the world you know? I didn't care for two face so much but no doubt he was good. lol. I think they should've given him his own movie. Anyway, my mom and I are both big fans of The Dark Knight.

And yeah the Joker did come across pretty evil, but someone has to play the part. I feel sorry for the actors who play Satan in movies on Christian channels. But someone has to show the true side of evil. Unfortuantely, if you aren't saved, it's hard to come out of a part like that. Hence the pills for Heath Ledger. How different is any other "evil" role from the 80's? At the time those people were crossing some serious lines. Really its up to the discretion of the person themself. Some people need to look at a movie like The Dark Knight and despise it. It could be that they are the type more suseptable to temptation related to that. But if everyone was truly wrong for liking it, then no one would be able to celebrate Easter either. Though it's a holiday that represents Christs ressurection, it's named after a pagan goddess "Ishtar." I believe the bunny rabbit is also some pagan related thing. The Christmas tree is also a pagan symbol. Halloween use to be called Hallow's Eve. It was suppose to be a Christian holiday. Try telling that to someone now a days. It's a day actually dedicated to Satan! Jack O lanterns would ALL be considered wicked because they are to serve as lanterns to light the path so that Witches can see where they are going. So really one is inviting a witch (thoretically) to come visit them by having Jack O lanterns everywhere. So it depends on the person. Some people despise Halloween. They think it is the most wicked day ever. But others, choose to use it for good. Like having safe festivals at Church so that people aren't off doing wicked things and putting scriptures with candy to witness to people indirectly. Christmas trees are kind of a necessity for most people. So rather than worshipping it or using it for it's true meaning, people decorate it with their family. My family puts ornaments that are of baby Jesus, or Nativety Scenes, Crosses, Angels etc... God can use anything for good. So if one watches the Dark Knight, they might get a message from it that is God's work. I honestly think the Joker reflects what people are capable of becoming. It's scary. And it's people who have given up on the world and think it's all bad and they have been hurt in the past. But Batman proves that there are still good people in the world. Gothem is sort of like Ninevah. And the Joker is like Satan trying to convince Batman to give up on it and let it fall to destruction. See? Already one can use it in a Biblical perspective. You'll find more fulfillment looking for the good things.

I must say I like this version of batman better than the ones from Val Kilmer and George Clooney. They were just too circus for my taste.
