If you are born again, then you have Eternal Life.
You are not waiting to get it.
You already have it, in you.

Jesus tells us, the born again...>"ALL that believe in Me, i will give you Eternal Life, and you shall never perish".

This is a wonderful verse, because it teaches us that eternal life is GIVEN, not earned, and by having it, we the born again = will "never perish".

"Never Perish": is Eternal Security. is OSAS, accurately defined.

The devil's ministers wrongly define OSAS, as "license to sin", because they are trying to hide from you....."you shall never perish", as they dont want you to know that....they only want you to doubt your salvation, as when you do that, you have lost Faith in Christ.
Doubt cancels Faith.
That's their goal., and that is why the devil sends them to Forums like this one.

Saint... the Devil has read the Greek text, and the Bible.
He knows that ..."without faith, its impossible to please God".
So, He sends in his dark lights and they try to get you to believe you can lose your salvation. And if you fall into their pit, their deception, then your faith is ruined, and "without faith, it is impossible to please God".
See, the very second that one of the Devil's own can convince you that you can lose your salvation.....they have succeeded in "subverting your faith".
They have turned it from Christ, and placed in on YOU.
You now BELIEVE that going to heaven is based on what YOU have to do, vs, Trusting in Christ alone, to get you into heaven.
Keep an eye out for these deceivers, as they LIVE on Christian forums. They infect them.

Now...The "never perish" is referring to the "2nd Death", that is not actually a death, as in an ending,... but its the process of spiritually existing in the Lake of Fire , and this never ends.

So, that is how you "perish". Yet you never die spiritually as the spirit in you cannot die,.... but it can end up in a place of torment., unless this is resolved.... = John 3:36

Being born again, eliminates any chance of that happening to you, which is why God who is manifested in the flesh told you that HE resolves your eternity for you by giving you ETERNAL LIFE. And so having that, you cannot "perish".... which is to enter the 2nd death, which is simply ending up in Hell then the Lake of fire after you die.... and this 2nd Death will burn for exactly as long as God exists.

And, what is The Eternal LIFE, that Jesus gives you, if you will BELIEVE ?
Its this.....>"I AM the Resurrection AND THE LIFE".

"I AM the way, the truth, and The LIFE".

See those? That's Jesus defining Himself........and notice that He defines Himself as "I AM"
See that? That is God's ID card... AS God said that of Himself.
So, Jesus, who is 'I AM", is telling you that if you are born again you will never end up in the Lake of Fire, because God, "I AM"....has given to you...>"eternal LIFE", and that is Jesus Himself, as "Christ IN YOU< the hope of Glory"....(Glory is Heaven).
So, how do you know if you are going to Heaven? Its this proof.... You have Christ IN YOU.....and He IS Eternal LIFE.......Yours.

JESUS Himself, is eternal LIFE, and He is in you if you are born again, which means you have Eternal LIFE< already....and will "never perish".

Actually, what you've presented here is Greek Philosphy, not Christianity. Man Is not a spirit, Jesus made that clear. God said man is flesh. Paul said the Father alone has immortality, so, even if man was a spirit, he's not, but if he was, he still wouldn't be eternal, because the Father alone is eternal. Nowhere does the Bible present Heaven as reward for the saved. It is the earth that is the reward. Jesus said, 'blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth'. God said, through David, that Christs inheritance is the land. There is also not a place of eternal torment, called Hell. John tells us in his gospel, that God sent His Son so that whoever believes should not perish. He didn't say whoever believes should not suffer eternal conscious torment.

I'm not at my computer at the moment, I'll check what Greek word(s) is/ are translated immortality. However, if Paul said that the Father alone has immortality, how should we understand this passage?

God is "A" Spirit.
To become a Christian, you have to have a "New Birth" that is the Spirit.....as "born again".

Actually, Jesus told Nicodemus he had to be born again. That has nothing to do with man being a spirit. Nicodemus believed that, as a Jew, he was an heir of the promises made to Abraham. He thought it was through his birth as an Israelite. Jesus corrects this wrong thinking telling him that he needs a second birth because simply being born an Israelite does not guarantee one entry into God's Kingdom. One must be born of the Spirit. How is one born if the Spirit. In Romans 8 Paul tells us that if God's Spirit is in a believer it is by that Spirit that they will be resurrected, thus born of the Spirit.

You speak of spiritual birth. Where in Scripture do you see an explanation of people be born spiritually?

As I said, what you presented is Greek philosophy. It was Plato that supposed that man is a spirit and escapes the body at death to ascend through the heavens to the ultimate god. That's what you proposed in the OP. If you don't believe me look it up. But, I can assure you the Bible does not support Plato's teaching

Born of water does not refer to the woman's water. Sharp's rule of Greek applies to this passage. Being born of water and spirit is a single birth, not two. Without going into detail, Sharp's rule makes water and spirit a single birth. Water refers to baptism and obviously spirit refers to the spirit. However, the words that are translated spirit, from the Hebrew and the Greek, all mean wind or breath. When English translators translate them as spirit it is a figure of speech. You've mentioned several times that God is spirit. Literally, God is wind/breath. Can you explain what that means?

You see, a big problem we have as English speaking Christians, is that in English, the primary meaning of the word spirit is a disembodied living being. That's the idea that comes to mind when we read the word spirit in the Bible. However, the Hebrew and Greek words have no such meaning. There is nothing in them that would indicate a disembodied living being. So, many English speaking Christians are importing an erroneous concept into their reading of Scripture when they do this.

There is no spiritual birth. You've simply stated that as if it was fact. You have not established it from Scripture. Jesus said a spirit (wind/breath) does not have flesh and bone. Man has flesh and bone, thus he is not a spirit. God said man is flesh. He didn't say man is a spirit.

As I pointed out, being born of water and spirit are too components of a single birth. It's not referring to two different births. That's what the grammar indicates. We can't make things up to fit what we believe.

If you do a quick computer search of some Bible software you'll find that the phrase, "born again" is only used when Jews are being addressed. Nowhere in Scripture are Gentiles said to be born again.

We would done well to consider context and grammar. They go a long way in helping us get a proper understanding of the Scriptures.

I checked the Greek text and both passages, 1 Tim 6:16 and 1 Cor 15:53, both use the same word. However, only the Father has inherent immortality. Man is not immortal. God promises eternal life to those who believe. But, their eternal life is not inherent in them. They will be kept alive by God. Paul said that God gives life to all things. Adam had access to eternal life in the garden. He could eat from the Tree of Life. He lost that eternal life when God removed him from the garden. God put an angel to guard the way to the Tree of Life, lest Adam eat of it and live forever. Jesus tells us in Revelation that He will give, to the one who overcomes, the right to eat from the Tree of Life. That is how man will have immortality. He will once again have access to the Tree of Life. This is what Jesus was referring to when He told the thief on the cross, that he would be with Him in paradise, the garden.
