"For he hath made him to be sin for us.......who knew no sin......" 2 Cor 5 v 21
The bible makes it absolutely clear, and without so much as a shadow of doubt, that our Lord Jesus was without sin. God did a new thing in the earth when Mary became aware that she was pregnant. That holy Child which lay in her womb was from God. Luke ch 1 v 26 onwards.

v 35 "the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall over shadow thee; therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee, shall be called the Son of God"

Jesus did not lay in the loins of Adam when Adam sinned. Therefore no guilt from Adam, either of sinful nature or distance from God, ever passed upon Jesus Christ.

Had Jesus descended from Adams fallen race, he would never have been able to take away our sins..........And all that he suffered would have already been due on his own personal account. Consequently He would not have been able to suffer in our place and to die in our stead.

However we can rejoice that Jesus proved fit and proper to die in our place and to suffer in our stead. Seeing that in himself "he knew no sin" he was indeed the "Lamb of God" spoken of by John Baptist, "which taketh away the sin of the world".

Like the lamb selected for the family in the O.T. without blemish and without spot. So our Lord Jesus wes perfect from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet.

"He knew no sin." That is to say, He was a perfect stranger in the presence of sin. "He did not know it" not that he was ignorant of its nature, or did not know its penalty. But he did not know it. He was a perfect stranger in the presence of sin. He was not an inhabitant of that land where sin is acknowledged.

"He knew no sin" Of course He knew what sin was, and he walked down its most frequented haunts, but with sin He had no fellowship no brotherhood..

If this were not true, Jesus would not have been able take away our sin. But He was indeed the perfect lamb of God, ....provided by God Himself. "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself"

Thank God..... thank God..... thank God,..... that we have such a substitute. One who was able die in our place and suffer in our stead

We are eternally grateful....we will sing His praises for ever....and ever......and ever.

Amen!

We need such a high priest- one who is holy, innocent, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Heb 7:25

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come! Rev 4:8
