Brother, that has nothing to do with suffer. If suffering caused any growth in the Lord, caused any good, then the whole world would be like Jesus and we can just wrap this thing up and go home.Suffering is a real part of bering a christian, Romans 8:28-29. When we suffer we become more conformed to the likeness of our suffering Jesus Christ.

Hey Amanda123, I know the trouble one faces especially when it comes to putting a measuring stick to one's faith and it seems that there is no shortage of believers who will blame many things on the lack of faith. But Jesus is different, He does not condemn nor find fault when one's faith is found to be weak, but rather He does what is necessary to raise and strengthen weak faith. I don't recall Jesus ever turning someone away because their faith was little or weak. He didn't reprimand Thomas for his weak faith or his unbelief but instead He invited Thomas to come closer and feel His wounds. My encouragement to you is to simply use the faith you have and listen to Jesus and do as He asks, if your faith is lacking or weak He will help your faith to grow and increase and remember faith is a fruit of the Spirit, it comes from Him not from us.
On a side note why is it, when it comes to things that make the flesh/self uncomfortable, many automatically think it is evil and caused by the devil? I believe this to be carnal thinking. If the enemy could have such easy access to us at anytime seems to me that would make God a distracted neglectful parent.
If you would like Amanda I can move your thread to the counseling forum to prevent debate and leave some of the posts here for discussion. Just let me know. God bless you.

What kind of healing do you mean? There are different kinds. To be able to help, we need to know what kind.
Physical?
Emotional?
Mental?
Spiritual?
Psychological?
I think I got them all :S There may be other kinds, too.
Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
"And by His stripes we are healed"...it doesn't say we WILL be healed...it says we ARE healed. It's already done.
The manifestation of the healing hasn't come yet for you. True, full healing, I believe, can only happen when we are in heaven where there is no pain, sorrow, or tears.
The Word says that even if you have the faith as small as a mustard seed (which is very small) you can say to the mountain be moved and cast into the sea and it will be done.
I would ask God first if it is a matter of faith or if it is just not time yet. God has a plan. Just because someone says something to you doesn't make it so. Listen to God's voice alone. Not even your husband knows the mind of God fully.
I myself need physical healing, but I know God can do it. We can't "will" pain away not really. I mean there is a reason our bodies use pain as an indicator that something is wrong.
Now, this is just me...and some might say something against this, but...I believe that God gave doctors the gift to heal...well some of them. :S I have gone to doctors and I do what I think is best, not what the doctors say...not always. Doctors will tell people what has always been done for an illness for decades, even hundreds of years, but that doesn't mean you and I have to do it.
God can do anything. He can heal you and me. Most days I can "deal" with the pain. Most people who know me probably wouldn't even know I am in pain. But if I must suffer a small amount, I believe I can. Jesus suffered much more. I always try to think positive. There's enough negative in the world...I don't want to add to it.
I hope some of this helps. I truly believe you need to check YOUR relationship with God. No one else can truly know what kind of relationship you and God have, but you and Him.
