Hell in heaven?!?!?!??!

Hi All,
I have heard that when we are in the New Jerusalem, we will be able to look down and see the torment of those in hell and that will prevent us from wanting to rebell against God. Because Satan wont be there to tempt us we will be back in the garden of eden and to prevent us turning away from God of our own accord, we will see the pain and torment in hell.
I have always thought that heaven will be a happy place where we wont be saddened or tempted. In Isaiah 65 it says that the former things will not be remembered. These two things seem to be contradictory.
Is this correct? Any thoughts?
Cheers!

I would start off by not believing everything you hear. Just believe everything you read, in the Bible only.

I agree with Chad, and if you read that whole chapter of Isaiah 65 you'll see what the new earth and heavens will be like, there is no such mention of being able to see hell when you are in heaven, God does not need to "keep" us intact, we will be glorified before we reach the new heavens and earth, new beings, mostly like Angels. Jesus said so Himself.

God bless

I think this idea comes from the parable Jesus told of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man, in hell, could see Lazarus, in heaven. but not the other way around.

The answer to your question, in my opinion is where the Bible says that all tears will be wiped away. At that point there will be no memory of bad things.
