Hello all from Cali!
I just got in from church and checked my email and saw that my membership was official and was asked to post to the new members area and introduce myself. I am vendradi. I am a married mother of three and I am a Christian with a heart and mind seeking to do the will of God. I have been in church for all of my life and always believed in God. As a child I was exposed to word of faith, but I grew up mostly methodist. As an adult I moved to Church of God in Christ, which is pentecostal in beliefs, all the while living with one foot in the world. I always believed in God, but the relationship was some how lacking. I began attending a Calvary Chapel church in Southern California in 2002 and seeking to make some needed changes in my life, which was getting out of control.
After approximately three years of searching, the Holy Spirit led me to a Fundamental Baptist church and I heard a completely different message for the first time. I heard that I had a knowledge of God without knowing God personally. That hit home with me because I knew it was not enough to know that Jesus is God, I had to have a relationship with Him. I had accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior as a child and I had never waivered from that belief and I do believe in eternal security. That in mind, I rededicated my life to Christ and the changes were immediate because they were because of the Holy Spirit in my and not me myself. I realize that sin has separated me from God and that it is only through Jesus Christ that I am reconciled to God. There are no doubts of where I now stand. My feet are planted firmly in the Word of God and I walk with the Lord.
