grew up believing everything i saw on TV.
time travel, parallel universes, space aliens, wormholes and vampires.
while older, i really was prepared to give up those dear, long-held beliefs of mine as i think most children are, but "scientists" and "historians" convinced me not to.
they told me space (and somehow time too) is actually a cloth you could actually warp around, bend, tear and "weave".
they also told me there's a hundred gazillion "universes" out there where everything i considered doing, i have done and where everything i did do, i've failed at it.
also, we're all descended from "randomly-arranged molecules" who then begat viruses, who then begat apes and who finally begat US!
and there's a hundred gazillion planets in our universe alone with life on them who've gone through a similar "evolutionary history" and are now flying around in sausage shaped vehicles faster than light!!!
i wanted to believe that!
i wanted to believe all of that!
and God? did you say God?
well, the largest history channel in India, and probably the largest history channel in the world ("History Channel", that's all they call it) had a bunch of "scientists" and "archaeologists" on every working afternoon back when i was in middle school who seemed quite confident about human history having been guided by supposed "extraterrestrial beings" disguised as "gods" who've controlled human history since it began and are the creators of all world religions and probably also, as the "possibility" those "scientists" once "entertained" suggested, the creators of the human race!
hindu nationalists around me were indeed a bit offended at that idea but i didn't understand what was wrong with it.
why should it matter whether it's technology or magic the gods got their power at?
that these "gods" were actually "extra-dimensional" beings rather than extraterrestrial beings was the only idea my hindu nationalist friends ever brought forth anyway.
and being as sci-fucked (please excuse the language it won't happen again) as i was, i still couldn't see the difference.
anyway, supernaturally-inspired-seeming things never ceased to happen in my life yet i only ever gave the credit for them to my invisible alien friends (my brother and i had given them names too).
yet, as Abram the Syrian was called out of his fathers' house i too was called out of mine.
didn't realize how God had it all planned when it all actually played out (it played out years on end and still hasn't stopped, i pray He never lets it stop) but His plan was magnificient.
i went through several wildernesses en route but finally, He did bring me out by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm all the way into Christ!
evolution? debunked.
aliens? debunked.
time travel? debunked.
millions of years? debunked.
Yahshua Hamaschiach? Amen! Amen!
i'll be going to college now and would probably be the only true Christian there, but shall pray i find brethren there.
to lend me company when im arguing with professors about evolution and to pray and do bible-studies together.
as it stands however, im struggling to find a good church around me that isn't full to the brim with the vilest imaginable forms of catholic idolatry and even hindu idolatry (the missionaries allow it lest the new "converts" feel unwelcome).
therefore, i decided to look for something online.
glad i found here.
Praise Yahweh the God of Abraham of Isaac and of Jacob!
