I listened to the cd, and I just read it somewhere. And he uses The Ten commandments. Is this a good way to witness?

I always thought sharing the love of Christ, how He is the way to eternal life, how He came to save us from our sins .......'For God so loved the world', etc. Showing love to others was the way to do this. Is this all wrong.

Isn't it going to make people run if we start talking about how we are all sinners and talking about judgement day.

I really want to know how I am meant to witness in a loving way but not water down the truth? I love Jesus, I want people to know Him too.

How do we share with someone who doesn't believe there is a God, or judgement day or the bible is truth.

Also am I meant to have extensive knowledge of the bible to be able to witness? what happens if I am asked a question and I really don't know the answer.

Hi Calluna,

I myself have no answers in this area? How can I share the love of Jesus with those whom I know - co-workers, friends, relations and children? But each time, I wait for an open door. Trusting that the Lord will open an opportunity to witness. Not only the opportunity but the words.

It is by our example - the way we live and how we handle situations in our lives. We are the only Jesus people will ever see. "You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. And so you became a model to all the believers." I Thessalonians 1:6-7a (NIV)

In time I'm sure that they will get hunger enough and then the Lord will give the opportune time and the words to say. God bless dear sister.
