in 2corinthians 6 from verse 14 paul says we should not be yoked with unbelievers.
I got a friend who is not Christian and belongs to another religion, I have showed him the truth from the bible and he seems not to be budging. I am afraid that it could hamper my spiritual growth, I believe we should always grow spiritually thats why recently I made a commitment to watch and listen to material which will help me grow spiritually only.
what do you think should I cut our frienship or should I carry on?

A wise man once told me " you must sometimes build a bridge of friendship that will sustain the weight of truth". Being unequally yoked is mainly referring to (in my opinion) a serious relationship and marriage.
If we never communicated with lost folks how could we ever hope to share the gospel with them? Jesus wants to set this precious soul free. Perhaps besides your words he will see Jesus living in you and His expression in your life. If we lift up the Lord men will become aware of the emptiness in their souls and be drawn to Him.

I think that you should remain friends. Don't try to push him to much... some people will only go further away. Maybe just act in the ways of God when you are around this person. They may respond to this rather than you trying to convince them in words to be a Chirstian. Let him learn through your actions rather than words.

Perhaps living out your faith day-by-day in the presence of your non-believing friend could strengthen your faith, and cause you to grow closer in your relationship with God.

Faith comes only by hearing the Word of God, and if we seek more faith, then we must more abundantly hear the Word of God.

Faith in Christ will cause divisions, He said that himself...particularly tough, especially when it happens within a family.

Mt 10:32 –Mt 10:39 NKJV
“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
