ooh wow...I never really knew most of the reasons for some.I take green tea alot as part of diet and someone mentioned if i took too much of it in the week, may not be good. Not that many side effects then? am assuming they are all good.

Thanks alot for the info.
God bless you.

Herbal Teas like green tea how good are they?

At home here I drink tea at every opportunity, throught the day. Without milk or sugar.

Milk, sugar, detract from the flavour of the tea. It is made a sweet drink with such additives, the flavour of the 'tea' is lost

It does...I dont add sugar to herbal teas however bitter unless its Black tea & milk. I think most things are healthier without sugar.

I have read a bit on side effects and there are some, but it seems to be directed at new herbal tea drinkers and those who drink very large amounts of it. I have taken the information and posted it below, just remember it only effects some people.

Green Tea Side Effects:
When you have too much caffeine.

Tea contains about half the amount of caffeine found in coffee, so moderate consumption of green tea is unlikely to cause problems for the majority of people.

If you are sensitive to caffeine, here are the symptoms to watch out for:
◦restlessness

◦irritability

◦sleeping problems

◦tremor

◦heart palpitations

◦loss of appetite

◦upset stomach

◦nausea

◦frequent urination

Stomach upset is the second most common complaint after caffeine.

I take decaffeined coffee and green tea but normal black tea. I think as long as theres no caffeine it should not harm. I will be watchful thank you.

There are lots of herbal teas a re available in the market and i use and prefer the most is Green Tea not like because of its taste and flavor it has also other health benefits too.

so, this is the reason why tea is not good for a pregnant woman?

As long as theres not to much caffeine. I think
decaffeined tea/coffee is best if you get side effects. I had a friend who craved ginger tea when pregnant but depends really.

oh thank you... but which tea is best for me since I am prone to UTI. My husband is a tea lover and really he encourages me to try Jasmine tea every time we're in Chinese restaurant ...
