Momma and i have been in church for over 15 yrs, we served the homless, and in church,
We both know that we are both sinners! And we
Both know that we are failing GOD! We havent been to church in over 5 wks! The devil is working on us tough!!!
This is what i think of down time, my faith is
Not failling. But my want to is hurting. I pray
That GOD has not taken his hand off of us but
That is what it feels like.
I lie in bed at night and truly think that being the man i am walking my wife down the wrong path by not going to church!!!
I am praying just to get my want too back.
Has anyone else had this problem??

It sounds like your church is not able to support the level of maturity that the Holy Spirit is drawing you toward.
Many of us here found this a place to study and mature far beyond what most modern churches can supply.
I myself almost starved from spiritual malnutrition because my well meaning pastor could not feed me fast enough.
And jumping from church to church can be exhausting trying to find that right combination of truth without manipulation.Some churches teachings are well meaning but wrong or they can preach truth with love but be inadequate in their understanding of certain things that you need to mature.

My recommendation is to put that question off and stay here a while and soak up what you need to get that fire back in your bones.
Then you will be able to see clearly for the next step.

This would be my next step:
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Then while I was waiting for wisdom I would cruise any threads that interest me and after a while I know the answers will start to flow like living water.

The want back.......

Why would you want to go back?
why are you even concerned, and what is going to church really mean?

What do you think happens if you just go back to Church? IF God does have his hand on you, how does that help you?

A lot of these issues come from not knowing the questions.

There are reasons for everything, and I can promise your spiritual state has a reason, and just doing your duty as you suppose is not going to fix it.

So, lets say you get a fire back for God, then what happens? You go back to the same environment that allowed you to slip to began with?

I can say, any Pastor that says I am weary, or tired of these years of preaching. It's taken a toll on me, better find the will of God and start doing it. Someone doing the Will of God, in the right place never grows tired or weary of it. They don't grow weary of well doing, because there is mighty grace to keep going.

I myself have been in your same boat!!!

I have one question..... Do you feel there should be more to God, than what you have been told or experienced? Answer honestly. We can go from there.

I have been told all I need to know from the scriptures,that does not mean I fully comprehend them.
My experiences are not relevant to my knowledge or beliefs.
My feelings are not truth,Jesus is.
But I feel as if I could better comprehend his plan for mankind and my particular role in the world.
