How did the world receive the privilege to fellowship with God?
God invited his people Israel to join him in fellowship but they ignored and rejected him because of this he made the invitation available to the rest of the world. Those who accept this invitation become a part of the church of his son Jesus Christ.
What is Fellowship- It means friendly association and communication, especially with people who share one's interests(intimacy).
What does it mean to have fellowship with God?
John 1:1
The word of God was God and is still God(Christ). Fellowship is intimacy with the word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Why do I need fellowship with God? (Importance of Christian fellowship with god?).
- So you will be able to live right and fulfilling your destiny. Fellowship with God allows you to live above discouragement and depression. Fellowship with God provides the power or ability to live according to God's leading.
- Joshua 1:8:9
- Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
- 9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
1 John 2:3-6
- Now by this, we know that we know Him if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this, we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
- Maintain and grow Eternal life. means to Live forever. Eternal life also means living with God every day. Living your life every day with God (walking or collaborating with God to live your life). Spiritual death is actually an eternal separation from God.
- John 17:3
- And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
- To be able to deliver the requirements and expected results God and you desire.
- John 15:5
- "I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing.
- To access God’s grace and have hope for the future.
- Romans 5:1-2
- Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
- How do you develop fellowship with God?
Firstly, you have to give your life to Christ as your personal Lord and Savior because God sent him into the world to die for our sins. You have to accept his sacrifice and invite him into your heart. Receive it by faith in the name of Jesus Christ.
Now that you are born again asked God to bread the Holy Spirit into you according to his word in Luke 11:13
So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”.
Believe that you have the holy spirit.
Thirdly, you fellowship with God in two ways:
- You fellowship with God through the study of God’s word. You can easily achieve this by following a study plan. You can get a 1-year or 2-year plan on the Internet.
- You fellowship with God through meditation on the word of God.
- Meditation is slowly reaping the word of God to yourself again and again with understanding(brooding). You can also pray with the prayers already written down in the Bible. You can also declare the testimonies declared by different characters in the Bible. You can also meditate through music and praise to God.
- You fellowship with God through fellowship with God's people.
- 1 John 1:3
- that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
Christian fellowship with God requires 2 things.
john3:5
- You need to be born again to see the kingdom of God
- You must be born of God’s word (the water) and God's spirit to enter into it.
What does it mean to have fellowship with God?
it means building fellowship (intimacy) with God’s word through God's spirit day and night.

This can be achieved through
- study of the word for a head knowledge of God’s word.
- Meditation of God’s word: this involves when you repeat the word of God to yourself again and again with understanding. It's brooding over God's word.
