How can I refrain myself from investing too much in human relationship and focus more to God?

Praise the Lord for this attitude. I am going to tell you what has helped me and if you study the bio of many great Christian people they all seem to have some of these things in common.

Spiritual discipline, this is direct effort on our part to curb the flesh and seek the spirit.

1. Corporate worship, this is huge and I think should be practiced on a weekly regular basis. Worshiping God with other followers is a must IMO. Jesus says
Matthew 18
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

2. Alone time in the bible, everyday in the morning, just you and God we must know Gods word inside and out Jesus says
Matthew 4:4
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

3. Prayer time daily, I like Daniels example in the bible he prayed three times a day, I think in a special place on our knees or better yet on our face to show the most respect as possible, giving thanks, and praying for others, I prefer to have list so I dont forget. Jesus did not say if you pray he said when you pray. He also promises rewards for those that pray how cool is that?
Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

4. Day of rest and relaxation, do what you love doing use this day to recharge with giving thanks to God. Far to many people get burnt out and are no good to anyone that way. IMO

5. Giving to you local church, and to help the needy orphans missionaries. Giving is way to worship and trust God. And it more blessed to give then receive. and again we get rewarded for giving.
2 Corinthians 9:6
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Proverbs 19:17
Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

6. Fasting really get you closer to God, and can free you from any strong holds of sin in your life.God also rewards for fasting
Matthew 6:18
That your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

7. Remember that your identity is in Jesus Christ

8. Share the good news of Jesus Christ when ever you get a chance, make a deliberate effort on you part to do this

For me getting in the word first thing in the morning was the very first thing I started doing when I saw change taking place in my heart. I went to "church" for years and always believed in Christ but never KNEW Christ until I started getting in the word everyday, and slowly things started changing. God bless you

Hi Luinlei, without much information one does tend to draw conclusions that may well be miles off the mark, typical of Andy, drops in with both feet! So apologies in advance if that's the case here. Please feel free to correct me.

Has someone close to you upset you or let you down? If so the answer to the question is just one word, forgiveness. Jesus is very strong on this, basically saying God would prefer you to put Him on the back burner and go and resolve your issue with your brother and then come back to Him Matthew 5:23-24. A lot of what's in the sermon on the mount is theory, this is how you live if you're going to be sinless and perfect. In practice you might need God to help you through that process, ask for extra helpings of His Holy Spirit. The upshot of it is that God doesn't want you to come to Him in praise, worship and adoration and meanwhile seething about how N has stressed you out, let you down or done your head in. There's more on this subject in Matthew 5:38-48, and none of that's easy reading either.

==================================

Dear Lord God, thank you for all the people we love, spouse, family and friends and of course our Christian brothers and sisters. Sometimes we think we love them too much and that makes us vulnerable to hurt when they upset us and let us down. Please God for us all, increase not reduce our love so that we can see beyond the hurt and still love them. Help us to forgive, forget and get over let downs and move on. There's no better example than your constant love for us, even when we let you down. Your love is totally unconditional, make us God more like you, more gracious, more loving - for your glory.

Amen.

In response to the opening question -- I don't think a person Can spend Too much time in human relationships. Spending time alone with God Is very important, also.
