How Can We Know We Are Saved?

The Word of God tells us that “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” (1 John 1:5-2:2)

Then Romans 10:9 tells us plainly that if we “confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead, we will be saved.”

If we admit we are sinners separated from God, and that God so loved the world that He sent Jesus Christ, His only Son, to die on the cross for those sins, that God raised Jesus from the dead and that God will raise all those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior, if we believe these things then we are saved.

But someone says, “Yeah, but I don’t feel saved.”

Billy Graham once said, “A lot of people believe they are saved only if they have some powerful emotion or overwhelming feeling. However, every Christian has times when feelings are not strong, no matter what our experiences may have been in the past. But it is not our feelings that save us -- it is Christ [that saves us].”

Now consider these great words from Charles Spurgeon, “My hope lives not because I am not a sinner, but because I am a sinner for whom Christ died; my trust is not that I am holy, but that being unholy, He is my righteousness. My faith rests not upon what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what He has done, and in what He is now doing for me.”

Here are some useful salvation helps…

The Romans Road
1. Romans 3:23: All have sinned.
2. Romans 6:23: The wages of sin is death.
3. Romans 5:8: But God commanded His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
4. Romans 6:23b: The gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

When we are BORN of GOd [born again] or born of the spirit?
We know it for what it is. A new birth. Many never know this birth. Some are young when this takes places and might not understand it?
The reason ,I am making a point of this is because?
I been dead both ways!
I thought i was saved the first time,I had said the sinners prayer,But? I did not know it was a true birth ,wee would experiance.
Big shock.I was dropping deep into the earth ,in the worse fear I had ever know. This was the sting of death.I prayed hard to my LORD JESUS CHRIST and HE gave me another chance. We are dead ,when our spirits leave our body!
I believe without a doubt. The reason some are saved and most are not?
Is because most will not allow HIM to be the rulers of there lifes.HE must lord over us.
We must accept HIM as LORD and Master.
He takes nothing from us and is a giver. But,WE must be willing!
Abraham was willing,He put at the LORDS feet ,the thing HE counted worth the most in HIS life.
The rich man would not[his money] and walked away sad!
Each of us count something above all else.Whatever it is? It must be HIS ,to do as HE pleases!
But,HE is LOVE and not a taker!
Salvation is a new spirit.
the new man
inner man
hidden man
new creature
inward man
are all our new spirit!
salvation is simple.yet few have it!
Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
THE HEART IS THE SPIRIT!As GOD is the Father of spirits!

Of course after we are BORN AGAIN ,We should be baptisted if possible?
Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
HE is willing to save any!
But we must be willing to accept the gospel as truth and HIM into our Hearts [spirits] as LORD
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
This 2nd vs.explains the 1st vs.
The water is our 1st birth into this world [flesh]
the 2nd explains our birth into The KINGDOM of GOD[spiritual birth of our spirits]

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

1Co 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
Joh 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
