How can we turn them away?

I feel that a person should not be kick out of the Church just because he/she is gay. Instead, allow them in the Church & let them learn of GOD, for how else can they learn about HIM & what it means to respect GOD & HIS Rules & Regulations.
Though I do agree, that a gay person should not be allowed to be Baptized, unless they're willing to turn from their wicked & sinful ways, as any sinner would be expected to do! But if they claim to have a love for The Almighty GOD or Jesus Christ - let them learn - let them in the Churches & Congregations to hear the WORD of GOD.
For Jesus did say: "He who is without sin, let him throw the first stone'' {John 8:7 } Because we all have or had sinned with in our own life time. But, we also have it with in us to turn from our wicked ways, just by applying ourselves to the Word of GOD! By living out HIS Rules & Regulations! And the only way we can do this is by Bible Studying, examining The Holy Scriptures & practice in living according to them.
It is written that we should not judge, in hope that we be not judged. {Matthew 7:1-2} But, if we are going to judge, then let us judge righteously, and not according to someones appearance. {John 7:24}
For in the end we all will be judged according to our own actions {our own sins} as well. For it's OK to hate the actions of a person, if their ways are wicked, but it is wrong to hate the person. {Matthew 19:19, 1Peter 3:8, Matthew 5:43-44} So, let it be known to them that there actions are wrong in the Eyes of GOD! And that we WILL NOT participate in any wrong doing! For GOD has made us just as stubborn, {Ezekiel 3:8-9} and our longing is to Worship The Almighty GOD with Christ Jesus, as our Lord, Teacher, Mediator & KING! With all our Hearts, souls, minds & with all the might that we have with in ourselves! We will stand firm for GOD!

Who is turning them away Jonah? Warning is in no way judging by any standard, as it is written:

Eze 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
Eze 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Eze 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Eze 3:20 Again, When a righteous [man] doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Eze 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous [man], that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

I think the key factor is are they claiming to be born-again?

1Corinthians5
CHAPTER 5
Paul Condemns Spiritual Pride
1*I can hardly believe the report about the sexual immorality going on among you, something so evil that even the pagans don’t do it. I am told that you have a man in your church who is living in sin with his father’s wife. 2*And you are so proud of yourselves! Why aren’t you mourning in sorrow and shame? And why haven’t you removed this man from your fellowship?
3*Even though I am not there with you in person, I am with you in the Spirit.* Concerning the one who has done this, I have already passed judgment 4*in the name of the Lord Jesus. You are to call a meeting of the church,* and I will be there in spirit, and the power of the Lord Jesus will be with you as you meet. 5*Then you must cast this man out of the church and into Satan’s hands, so that his sinful nature will be destroyed* and he himself* will be saved when the Lord returns.
6*How terrible that you should boast about your spirituality, and yet you let this sort of thing go on. Don’t you realize that if even one person is allowed to go on sinning, soon all will be affected? 7*Remove this wicked person from among you so that you can stay pure.* Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us. 8*So let us celebrate the festival, not by eating the old bread* of wickedness and evil, but by eating the new bread* of purity and truth.
9*When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. 10*But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or who are greedy or are swindlers or idol worshipers. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. 11*What I meant was that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a Christian* yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or a drunkard, or a swindler. Don’t even eat with such people.
12*It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your job to judge those inside the church who are sinning in these ways. 13*God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”

Now I understand. Thank you, jiggy For setting me straight. Had I known such a schripture existed I would never had mentioned what I had posted in the first place. It is truly good for me be here in Talk Jesus. May your walk with The Almighty GOD, be a Blessed One.
