How do I know I'm hearing from God?

Good morning and blessings.
How do I know I'm hearing Gods voice? I heard we have 3 speaking to our thoughts. Our own thoughts, Gods, and the evil one...Ok For example One day me & my co-worker got into an argument over work related but anyways I walked away but I felt bad afterwards, i was there sad but like a thought or maybe to say spoke to me "You let your anger consume you" I was like yea i did & ended up apologizing to my co-worker & although she was still going on about it said sorry again and I walked away.... So that was God speaking to me right?

Hi Yamira, yes thoughts come within our minds outside of us.
Maybe it was God who caused you to apologise, because you were wrong
to loose your temper
As Christians we must set a good example and others must see the difference
in us.
If you have a disagreement you must adhere to the truth in any situation and
stick to it with peace and self control, thinking about others and not your
selfish self. You must sacrifice your life for others, it doesn't mean that you are a
pushover, you must fight for truth and justice in all your life and in ever situation
in your life.
You cannot hurt if you are dead to self, in this position you can only think of others.
Peace and tolerance be with you all your life.

there is a peace that only a believer knows which is known when we have done what is right according to the LORD.
This peace is indeed peace which totally replaces all other feelings of doubt and anxiety and confusion and guilt and shame and anger and worry and lack of ease regarding any given situation.

I can only presume that, in doing the right thing and apologizing for your manners, you has His peace?
I know that for me, in the past, i certainly have had God's peace in similar situations to what you describe.

God is not the author of confusion. Knowing and doing His will leaves no confusion at all.

Yes, we might think about what happened and consider the ins and outs of it all, but it is far better to rest in the peace He gives us and rejoice that we are able to receive His peace because of His grace revealed to us in His Son.

again, give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His merciful lovingkindness endures for ever!

These things are things we learn over time, God's ways are not our ways, He works in wonderful yet at time mysterious ways.

He can also speak to us in different ways, as for hearing Him, scripture tells us He is the quiet voice, so often the louder voice of the enemy is heard first and we react to that without listening for the quiet voice. God speaks to us through His Word. God can also speak to us through the fruits of the spirit, subject to but not always to, the spiritual maturity of the saved soul and the situation. Peace is the one I can also relate to, it is the Peace of God, that passeth all our understanding, providing we keep our heart and mind on God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Peace of God is unmistakable, we feel at peace because the Holy Spirit has worked on our heart, and is usually, I feel, because we have been obedient to God's Word.

I notice you said following the argument you walked away, then you said you felt bad, the spirit was at work I feel, so you did God's will and went back and apologised.

Allow me ask you who was at more peace, you for forgiving or your co-worker who was still ranting on?

Yes thank you brothers for sharing & Gods love & peace is sooo beautiful,, sometimes i find myself when i sing a worship song I cry a deep cry, deep within the pit of my stomach in awe & happy just saying Father Jesus Holy Spirit you are beautiful.... At 1 point I even thought deep within my heart like I was speaking in tonges but afraid to even speak it out because of whatever reasons that happened.
I must say that most of the time especially at work because I'm so busy I see something that needs to be reported right away but because I'm so busy wanting to do everything else i dont report it or I forget, than the next day my Supervisor looks at me & says how can you miss this? Why didn't you report it right away? So i think back like sheesh I should of listened to my of conscious.... Is that another way God can speak to an individual? His children? I don't feel condemned when that happens but sorth of like ughh why didnt i say something you know... I know I'm full of questions and all I apologize

We are all busy at times, especially with pressure put upon us at work, but who are we busy for?

Yes we have a duty to our employer, our supervisors, but we are also saved so have a duty to God.

If we have a duty at work to report something straight away, is that not the right thing to do? Why do we feel guilty afterwards? Because we know we have not done what is expected of us, our loving Father knows also, that is also why you feel guilty.

It also clears our hearts to Praise the Lord, giving Him the Glory, yes sister He is so beautiful and we are made in His image.

Praise the Lord, again we say, Praise the Lord.

It is very important to understand what part of man God speaks to. If we are listening with our physical ears for the voice of God we will hear voice(s), but not the voice of God! God is a Spirit, and when God speaks he speaks to man's spirit (his heart). Believing, and understanding the Word of God can only be done with man's heart (his spirit) (Isa 6:10) (Rom 10:10)

Pro 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

Psa 18:28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

Lighting man's spirit (the candle of the Lord) is how the Lord leads, guides, and speaks to man. Our physical senses were never designed to hear, see or understand spiritual things!

Dear Yamira,

Well, it could be... When I opened my heart and mind automatically I started to "listen" at the same time. I recognize two. First is something like Inner Guidence (I can have deeply conversations with) and second is Ego.
Sometimes when I have a problem or I just need to find a way unexpectedly I see somewhere slogan, advertisement, picture, song, or someone is telling words with the answer I search for.
So that's my experience.

Can we feel His heart beat?

His Spirit talks with our spirit.

Romans 8:15-17 (NKJV)
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
