When I had first given my life to the Lord I was so happy and had such a zeal for Him. I wanted to do everything I could for Him and for others. But some things happened along the way in the church I was in and at first I kept going but after almost 7 years I couldn't handle being there anymore. Well my husband and I moved away and I went to different churches for about a year but never felt right again. I lost my zeal, I wasn't happy anymore, and then I got to where I couldn't feel God like I use to. I ended up quitting all together and even started doing the bad things I once done before. But after a few months I asked the Lord to forgive me and to come back into my life. I am attending a church now and am content with where I am at but I still don't feel God like I use to. I wonder if anyone could help me figure out what I could do to regain a solid relationship with Him? I want to feel Him again :(

Hello Mrs Davis (:
Well although its important what church we choose to fellowship in. It is even more important that you understand we are the church.
Sometimes when we feel like we arent close to God its because we have chosen to seperate ourselves from him because jesus will never leave our side. We leave his. .
This is your Testing point. God loves to test us the best thing is with testing comes victory.
Lean on God and cry out to him. When times gets hard thats when we must search even more. (:
Step out into faith and shout and cry out for him . I Promise he is always listening even when it does not seem like it. <3
Try worshiping to God through music ! It always helps me. And just think about all the Good the lord has done foe you. Some times we forget to be grateful and take god for granted.
God bless You ! :)

When you first found forgiveness, you were zealous because there was no division at all between you and God. Then sin slowly crept back into your life, the "old" person that is still there. It would start with finding fault with others, but being forgiving toward them, then it turns toward being discontent with how other Christians act and seem to be okay with it. The joy lessens because your mind is focused less on Christ and more on the faults of those around you which also displeases God for He forgave you greatly, and then you begin finding fault with others. There is a parable about this, about the man who was forgiven a debt by a king, and then afterwards went out and had another thrown in prison for their debt against him, and how this displeased the king. You can be forgiven nearly anything, but your own heart darkens when you are doing something to displease the Lord, and you knowing this, rejoice less in His presence.

This is what the spirit leads me to say sister. It was not from myself, for I don't know you well enough to make such a distinction.
