How do you have a good relationship with yourself?

Does it mean seeing yourself the way God does? Being committed and faithful to yourself? I read in a book how people need to know how to relate to themselves. I was also wondering if the relationship you have with yourself is one of the most important relationships you have in life and how the relationship you have with yourself affects the other relationships in your life like if you have a negative relationship with yourself then you have negative relationships with others and if you have a positive relationship with yourself then you have positive relationships with others. I don't know if I am making any sense or not. I would just like to hear some advice on this and other people's thoughts on this. Thank you

I think the way you view God also determines how you view yourself and other humans since He made us and we are made in God's image. If you have a positive view of God then you have a positive view of yourself and others and if you have a negative view of God then you have a negative view of yourself and others. Also I think if you have a poor relationship with yourself then maybe you don't have a relationship with yourself at all and you don't run your own life and you relinquish control of your life to someone else and rely on someone else to make you happy and be in control of your happiness and your life and ultimately you. Am I right or crazy? What does it really mean to "have a good relationship with yourself"? I want to know. I think having a relationship with yourself means how you view yourself and how you talk to yourself - your self talk. I want to see myself the way God does. I want to know how to be committed and faithful and loyal to myself. I want to know how to have a good relationship with myself. Sorry for this long and confusing ramble.

I will read through your messages in a moment, but my first thought is, i do not worry about being good to myself. Infact i don't worry much at all.

For the most part, i let the Lord lead my life in all things, and i find that many times, what He wants is already what i want as well. Maybe that seems odd to you, but often if i go to dinner, the Lord points someone out to me, " buy thier dinner too ", then there are other times i just do the same just because i want to.

When i was a child, i found it fun to shovel snow for everyone down the street. I never asked for a dime. We had a lot of snow when i was a kid.

I never worry about myself, i already know, God is with me. What more could i want.
