Wow, I dont even know where to start.
I grew up in a christian home. By about 15 years of age to about 20, I feel into the lifestyle of drugs, even harder drugs, running from god, sex, violence ect. I came back to the Lord about 2 years ago. I was strugling though with a few things. I had trouble fitting in, always feeling like I wasnt good enough. Feelings of rejection and fear, and an extreme nervousness that seemed to almost paralyze me spiritually.
I had sought forgiveness from our Heavenly Father for my past. I even wrote out a little of my testimony thainking that I would possibly be free from this turmoil if I dont hide what Ive done, and share it with my pastors wife. Obviously the old me and the old lifestyle was definitly not a part of my life. But I thought that if I shared that it would set me free in some way. well I did that.... but I still wasnt quite free. I was still struggling spiritually, emiontally and physically. I spent months asking God to show me, to open my eyes, that I wanted to be free.
God has answered! I was on the right track, but it went much deeper. I NEEDED TO FORGIVE MYSELF AS WELL AS LOVE MYSELF AS GOD LOVES ME!!
see, that unforgiveness effected my spiritual walk, me being a mother, me being a friend and a wife. It effected almost every part of my life.
I never quite realized that When God calls us to forgive... we need to forgive ourselves as well. a problem we alot of the times face is not really knowing how much God loves Us. and how important we are to Him.!
What an awesome God we serve. I'm Free! the turth will set us free.
