Humble Yourself and Pray
Now, on to my message: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14) Powerful, sobering, yet promising words. Especially relevant as this Thursday was the National Day of Prayer. Praise God that we are still allowed to have such a day in America! Thank you Lord for a President who acknowledges and even supports a Day of Prayer. May all Christians across this land, and even in foreign countries, set aside days like this for Biblical prayer and fasting for our nation, our leaders, and our world. There is still yet time for God to hear our prayers, see our humility, recognize our repentance, and bring healing and revival to our land. Perhaps many of us will make a commitment to offer up prayers according to 1 Timothy 2:1-2. "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." May God be with us all as we seek His Face...
