My 9-year-old daughter who knew scriptures better than me, and Loved Her Lord, was killed by a drunk driver. My only other child (daughter) then starting shooting heroin for coping. My husband then started to become interested in a sex addiction and asking me - no demanding me to be a part of the swingers community. I was severely injured in the car crash that took my daughter Home, and lost my sight for a year, along with other multiple broken bones and contusions. The woman that chose to drive 3x over the BAL, stopped at the site that night. The local authorities tested and then let her sit in her home until the day after Christmas and then turn herself in because she was not considered a high flight risk. She fled to Germany on December 26th. In that she had dual citizenships, Germany was not going to extradite her. I was saving, borrowing from any one monies so I could fly to Germany for the trial. But a trial never came to be. She was merely charged with running a red light and paid a small fee to a traffic court. Reason being was that for three years, Germany requested all the investigation reports, BAL, etc from the State of Florida, and after three years, nothing was ever sent. Not one piece of paper. So German had nothing to charge her with the vehicular manslaughter. Then the State District Attorney closed the case. I begged attorneys, senators, congressman, for two years to assist me in showing all the wrongdoings - not to mention the severe damage this did to my entire family. All the answers were the same, "I am so sorry for your loss". One kind attorney finally told me that no one would take on my case, because the government has absolute immunity no matter what. As my husband's sexual fantasies grew and my daughter continued to use, I attempted suicide on three different occasions, with no remorse whatsoever when I was doing it. 7 years later, I am only here because of my God and now I serve Him and go out and disciple to others. My daughter is very proud of me who walks with Jesus every day!!
Being under constant supervision, oppression, and mischiefs by my enemies, both Christian and non-Christians, and they are not asking for forgiveness nor stopping this evil, the Lord is helping me to forgive them daily for taking away my life.
I can relate to the Psalmist as you may also when reading Psalm 37:1-40 . As it is, the words of Christ & by His example, He may help you to forgive and to let go daily as I lean on Him and His help to do daily.
1 Peter 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
The example at the cross is:
Luke 23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. 35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
I have to admit that I do not do Matthew 5:44 as much as I should in praying for my enemies, but it has been done. And I shall do it again after this post, God be willing.
1 Timothy 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
May God continue to minster in your life so that you may bear fruit and have His peace because the Bridegroom is coming soon and we need to let go of the cares of this world and grudges so we can attend the Marriage Supper in Heaven where our enemies may be perfected that day along with us in attending for why we should lean on Him to forgive them now daily in the hopes that one day, He will save them or restore them to abiding in Him to bring them Home too..
James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. 10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Obviously your daughter sees His good work in you to give glory to God for.
Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
May the Lord continue to help us be happy while we endure the trials upon this earth since He is in us and with us always to walk us through this valley of death till HE calls us Home when it is time.
