I believe that two years ago when i got on my knees and cryed out to our Lord i was freed from alcoholism.Wow my life just got better and i was on fire for the Lord.Yet i have come up with a serious problem feeling down and its out of my hand.I can,t take the wine at church,I have been told i,m not allowed and sadly won,t give me alcohol free wine.Im allowed to go for my bread but for me thats not enough.I tryed to prove to my self that i was freed andhad the wine but people did,nt like it yet,i was fine.Is it me not trusted or is it that they don,t have enough faith to believe in Gods healing? All i know is no law can be changed in my church so i have to go with out and trust God understands why.

Any good church will allow its members the alcohol free option as there are many people who do not drink alcohol or not allowed for medical reasons. I am sorry that your place of worship does not allow for this. This is discrimination.

If you listen to premier radio which is on the internet on Saturdays between 12 noon and 2 pm there is a programme on which is very uplifting and he has started doing communion for those listening at home.

It has become a blessing to many as he had some good responses when he did it and will possibly be doing this every fortnight.

I am guessing that they do not believe you are healed or that by taking a sip of alcohol will lead you back into what you were set free of.

God knows all and will understand your hearts desire to participate so don't lose heart. You can always take communion with Him anywhere. He is always with us.

God bless and keep your eyes on Jesus. :rainbow: :rose:

It is great that the Lord set you free from alcohol. But the way they are treating you is wrong. You should be able to take the alcohol free juice. I would talk to an elder about it or someone else you are close to in church. If you not being able to partake in the wine part of the supper is hurting you and they don't change maybe you should look for somewhere else to go. And I agree with ladylovesJesus, talk to God, give it to him and let him take care of you.

In my small corner, the only Church giving alcohol
in the Communion Service is the Church of England. All other churches that I know and have fellowship with, serve a communion wine, or some other none alcoholic drink.

Jesus turned water into wine......since then many have been doing there best to get it turned back into water again HaHaHa Forgive me, I digress

Pinkangel you are being treated badly, in my opinion. It is very wrong that this situation has prevailed for 2 years or so.
