What a trial this has been and will be. Friday I slipped getting out of the bathtub and ended up fracturing my ankle. I didn't go to the ER until yesterday (Sat.) and when I did, they did x-rays. That confirmed what I thought. They told me it wasn't seperated, but that it was more of a crack? I'm not even sure what that means, but the doctor told me it should heal nicely as long as I take care of it. I call on Monday for an appt. with an orthopedic doctor so I can get a cast on it. I have a splint right now, but that's not going to be enough.
I'm scared and worried. Even though the ER doctor told me he highly doubted I'd have to have surgery, I'm still worried about it in the back of my mind. I'm frustrated. It takes forever for me to get to the bathroom or to my bed. I have crutches, but I'm horrible on them and I'm afraid if I use them too much, I'll end up falling and breaking the other. Bathing is going to be horrible and not to mention, we have steps to get in and out of our house... and with "no weight baring" that's almost impossible to accomplish.
The devil really knows how to set you back! I was planning on starting a healthier eating plan and going to start taking walks around our park today.
Grrrrr.
