I have some really bad dreams please help me understand

Lately i've been noticing that i have been having some really bad dreams or none at all. It all started about 2 or 3 years ago when i had a dream i was watching this man witness another mans murder.

Ever since then i have been similar dreams and very few good ones can anyone help me solve this problem?

Perchance is there a link between these awful dreams and your enjoyment of fantasy and films such as Harry Potter?

I think its more due to scary movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacure that movie made me sick to my stumach (literally). I can tell you one thing i am not seeing that movie again. I'm just not scared of Harry Potter.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having such aweful dreams. Do you know Leon in real life? Is this someone you care about? Does he live a harmful lifestyle?

Try reading your bible before you go to bed for at least 15 minutes. Read scriptures pertaining to protection. Follow it with prayer for God to send angels around you and the protection of the Holy Spirit follows you where ever you may go.

Fear is not from God so these night mares aren't from God.

I used to live with the spirit of fear and it literally consumed my life. Some nights I would sleep in my car because I was so afraid to sleep in my apt alone. I would carry a knife with me and sleep with a butcher knife between my matresses. I was always afraid someone would try to break into my apt and harm me, but now God freed me from those fears.

I don't personally know a Leon but i did see the name on a magazine in connection with a new Resident Evil game that was coming out at the time. I was aware of what the game was about and i think that scared me into having the dream. I have been avoiding those type of games since then but i still have bad dreams. I'll take your advise and make more time to pray at night. Thanks for the advise.

Sister, I have not read your dream, I think the dream itself is nothing worth mentioning, it's like rubbish quite frankly. The reason I say that is because those dreams, they don't come from God, but from the devil himself.

I used to watch horror and murder films when I was aged between 16-21. At the age of 21 I was baptized in water and my whole life changed. You see baptism is very important, it is a regeneration so to speak. It's an act of obedience to God and it is there for washing away of sins.

I watched the most terrible, disturbing movies that were conceived in that time, frankly it didn't phase me, but it phased God. You see, God gave me a spirit of meekness, that's to say, he took my spirit and made it gentle, caring and a lot less angry. Sure I still get angry and frustrated at times, but most times I give it to Jesus.

Now, the Holy Spirit is my inner voice, He is also my conscience. The Holy Spirit is a gentle Spirit and is also the Spirit of truth and love. Therefore, the Holy Spirit does not agree with those films, and therefore God allows satan to influence my sleep like that.

I have to mention that I asked and I received. The Bible says, whoever asks something in prayer and believes, he will receive. I asked Jesus to take my dreams away, all my dreams. About a month ago, I had a bad dream again, it lasted for about 10 minutes, it was not vivid at all, I did not have intense fear like I usually did, but I awoke and I heard something in my head, "do you think you can make him scared?". That was a soft, gentle voice, which comforted me and let me know that God Himself, the Holy Spirit was with me and that satan can't touch me.

Stop watching those films, ask Jesus to take your dreams away completely, or replace it with dreams from God. The bad dreams, don't even have to be mentioned, it's demonic, it's from satan, don't give him the glory of posting it on Talk Jesus. If you feel it is the correct thing to do, edit your post and remove the dream content, because I assure, it's not from God, murder, sin and all kinds of evil, does not come from God Almighty.

I will keep you in prayer, ask and receive.

Well,

Here is a quote that I read a long time ago.

"What goes into your mind, comes out in your life"

If we put junk in our minds, it is going to come out somewhere, it may plant seeds of wrong thoughts, we get wrong attitudes, our emotions are effected, we have to be careful. I stopped watching soap operas because of this. I know that sounds funny, but I use to get so anxious because of all the drama and sometimes there's lustful stuff going on aswell, which I did not need at all!

I encourage you do to do what it says in Philipians 4:8

Don't allow a door to open for the enemy to come into your mind, don't give him a foothold to build upon. Watching scary movies, or reading horror stories and things on witchcraft and sorcery will get us to think upon wrong things, and it doesn't line up with God's Word as it says in Phil 4:8.

I do hope your dreams stop very soon and you will have more pleasant ones, or just none at all.
